As someone that dropped out from a Nigerian university to an American university, I can tell you that students in Nigeria are not serious. The environment is not conducive for learning and lots of factors make studying in Nigeria a nightmare and these influence the Nigerian students' serious. These same unserious students have no choice to become serious when they go abroad to study - it's work hard or go home. After each course gives you 3 different assignment each week with each of them having a cumulative grade of 20% and copying not being tolerated, you've got no choice than yo study hard

I'm just here to see how many times she has gone out to play in the Snow in U.K.........I learnt it is the ways of Nigerians in the UK to go run in the snow........cos on the other thread, one guy in the UK went all out with his family to play in the snowfall and as I dey type this, he still dey receive bashing from left right and center from Nairaland commenters especially from one verywickedgoat guy like that.....

He got what he deserved. The thing dey vex me anytime I see them here playing with snow especially matured men and women. I feel embarrassed for them.....some people own too much self.

So we shall all conclude that the educational standard in the UK is poor and easy to pass, while the Nigerian standard is of the "highest quality, and very difficult to pass" what an irony. Nigeria is simply a system built and designed to make you feel like a failure in life. Nothing is encouraging in this Nigeria. Cuz I can't explain why and how a third class graduate manages to do a Masters abroad and come out in flying colours. Make it make sense please

Most of this school don't offer closed hook examinations in UK... Just assignments only

Very true. What is the rating of the university? That course has only course work which most students contract out illegally. Let her try a course that is a flagship course in any uni eg oil and gas engineering in imperial college, university of Aberdeen or rgu that has course work and exam and she will be a dropout.

Sometimes you still have to blame the system... You can not compare a working economy where the environment is condussive for learning.. You get all the materials you need for learning. So tell me how you will not come out with flying colors bro

Yes most foreign school masters don't write close book exams. You just do ur assignments at home n submit.

That is why she passed excellently.

Well with tech facilities u can get good grades

But from a university that is local ,wer student fight for everything. No water no light no internet facility Even in that village wer u are a suspect as a student living among the local indigene . Sitting on okada. From ori oke to supare junction. .even with the charge atmosphere of politics instability between the locals and school and govt with the charge male lecturer. If care not taking an average student can withdraw from university.
