You truly didn't have to lie, you can negotiate the new level based on what you can bring to the table irrespective of your current salary level.

Let them know u earn 20k but when they give you offer tell them you are not doing less than 250k if that is what u think u are worth.

Integrity is very important.

If you are bringing that value to the table they will pay because the next best price for that skill might be 500k - 1 M.

You have two options:
1. Meet with your company HR to synergize the current lie into your official payslip. OR

If you are good and perform excellently well in the interview, just tell them that your company doesn't issue pay slip or the pay slip only covers the basic remuneration and other earnings are tied to allowance and there is no pay slip for it. Most big companies does that such as banks. They pay twice; taxable income and non taxable incomes in form of allowance.

Finacial institution values integrity. Pray this will not bite you. The grace now is by uploading the right pay slip.

No structure, just like Obi lamba. A good company has a clear and standard rate that they pay their workers. Everything is laid out for each grade, level, position, department, and years of experience. It is companies with the mind to cheat or underpay their workers that play wayo with salaries, yet expect the workers to give the best or even better than others that are paid more.

..I remember how a company did not get back to me because of payslip. At my former place of work, I receive my salary in cash, then this bank job came, after success exams and interview, they sent a mail requesting for my payslip, I just open my laptop , design some yeye payslip, responded to the mail, and that was the end...infact, at that time I don't know how a payslip looks like so you can imagine the rubbish I designed...hahahahahhahahhahhahan...
