Female characters are the hardest to write in media.

Many writers struggle in writing female characters. Females are generally too emotional so they can easily become very annoying to watch in some media.

There is also the issue of strength.

She could easily turn into a Mary Sue who has no weaknesses...
If you write her weaker, she could easily become a damsel in distress

Most writers have to find a balance...but it's easier said than done. They don't have to worry as much when writing a male character.

Some writers avoid the stress by turning all female characters into fan service who exist soley to please the men...their entire personality is watered down to their sèxual role or love interest.

Some action stories simply relegate female characters to support roles so it doesn't lead to power scaling problems e.g Baki

Some other stories just avoid female characters in general e.g Kaiji

Even females struggle to write proper female characters in movies/series.
It is extremely hard to properly write a female-led action movie/series


Females get too much wahala in real life and in media

I watched both seasons of Kaiji in 2020 and i never even noticed that it didn't have female characters until your comment pointed it out😅😅😅

The author of Kaiji for some reason doesn't draw female characters.
At most they just mention them or show a picture of them.

He wrote Akagi too...a manga/anime about gambling and it also doesn't have any female characters

Not good at all. This series still has 2 strong seasons in it. Sadly, it’s not going to happen.

These cancellations has made me to just focus on old shows that are already completed. That kind of gives me peace of mind because i know that i will have to watch two to five or six seasons to complete them.
No fear and disappointment of cancellation.

I recently just started "You" and i am loving and enjoying the series because i know there will be no risk of canceling in the next season.

The heartbreak i had when into the badlands and some other shows got canceled, i don't want to experience it anymore so lately i go for old shows that are already completed all seasons or Atleast almost completed all seasons.

Late to the party, but brilliant brilliant animation .

Episode 1 was a drag, and i found it had to get past it, but from episode 2 to episode 8 was fire, i hope they make another season.

Solid solid show. 9/10.

Episode 3 of Moon Knight is the worst TV episode I've seen in about 3 years
