JapaPrince:
This is to help you calculate your expenses or to give you a clearer picture of the reality on ground.
1. Rent 865/month (Wi-Fi,heating,hot water)
2. Transport student pass 58/month
3. Phone bill 40/month.
4. Groceries is in the range of 300-500/month. (NB you can go on steady fasting and use $20/month lol)
5. Tuition $8,000 every semester I.e every 4months.
6. Health insurance $1400 every year.
7. Haircut $32/month
8. Miscellaneous = $100-$200 /month.

Tuition is by far my biggest expense, followed by rent then groceries.
As per income I earn roughly $2000 per month.
I hope this helps prepare you for the journey ahead.
City is Montreal
This Montreal seems expensive..health insurance for $1400 per year embarassed..while some universities offer health insurance for less than $800 for students...

Since your working and having income tax deductions..you can file for tax return up coming year ..if you have not been doing so..and get some money back from the taxes paid to the government...

Why spend $40 on phone bill/month when you have wifi@home am sure your school will have free WiFi for students..
Because it is mobile data purchase that can increase phone bill tariff..

Thank you so much, I really appreciate this help, I've been struggling to do this for days, you're blessed, if you don't mind, please is there a way I can contact you directly, maybe via email or other means, I'd need guidance in filling my application and I hope to also get a review of my Sop.
Thank you for the help.

Finally, Nairaland is back.

PPR dn drop, finally guys!
It dropped 30 minutes after my deferral request was approved. 😂

Timeline:
Submitted application on October 18
Upfront medicals and biometrics had earlier been captured in my 1st application (This is my second application)
No update or progress whatsoever on my dashboard until Dec 18, when I received PPR. Till now, eligibility is still in progress as with background check. Lol

After I had done my findings, I came to the realization that there were number of things missing in my first application, and it had failed in a number of places so I decided to bring reinforcements on the second application.

First application was self-sponsored, and the refusal was due to insufficient funds even though 70% sch fees was paid, 10k GIC, and 5m for other small stuff.

I applied for gcsm note but didn't get any so I reapplied.

For the second application, here are the documents I submitted:
1. Passport Data Page
2. Affidavit of Return
3. Certificate of State of Origin
4. Police Character Certificate
5. Certificate of Birth
6. E-medical information Sheet (Upfront medicals)
7. Statement of Purpose
8. Academic/Professional resume
9. Letter of Introduction
10. Professional certifications
11. Property ownership (land and a car)
12. Full tuition confirmation receipt
13. 10k GIC certificate
14. Mybank statement
15. Pension Reg Certificate
16. Pension Statement
17. Contract Agreements
18. Employment Letters
18. Payslips
19. Tax Clearance certificate
20. Acceptance Letter
21. Nysc Certificate
22. Degree Cert
23. Statement of results
24. Students transcript
25. Waec cert and testimonial

I wanna thank y'all for your contributions on this platform, all of you! Y'all have such a great community. Didn't have to ask many questions because the questions were already asked and the answers provided accordingly, all I needed to do was to read through each page.

Congratulations!!!! Still waiting for mine. Submitted October 13th. This is wait no be here…. Did u raise any webforms? Wondering if I should.

1. Rent at 865 monthly is too high. You can find shared apartment for $600 all inclusive. This will also depend on the location.
2. Most schools have transportation included in the school fees
3. There is freedom mobile phone bill at $20 per month. That’s what I do for all the new people who arrive at my place
4. You are right on groceries
6. Some schools add health insurance in the fees but you can wave it off and get your money back.
7. Get a clipper for $20 and barb yourself.
I would like to see your own monthly expenses

What's my chance of getting my study visa?
I paid a full year school fees for a 2 years program and made a gic deposit of 10k and my bro who's my sponsor deposited 30 million naira not with a deed of gift into my account as pof.
Will that be enough and do I stand a good chance with this?
