They sometime send. I have received such approval email before.............But in 2014.
Thegamingorca:

It be like person don scam you.

UkVI will never send you an affirmation that your visa is granted and especially because it's not been upto 4 days since you did the biometrics.

But then who knows🤷 you just might have benefitted from a super priority deal without even knowing.

As I am certain you are not the one that submitted your application yourself since you don't know what a tracker is, why not go and ask your agent whatsup

He got a mail that his visa was approved by the other body incharge of dishing out BRP for student applicants.

Not necessarily by UkVI. UkVI don't give any notice for visitors visa

Oga. I have received approval notification before from DMC in the UK for visitor visa........It was even a 2-years validity visa. Specifically in July 2014.

Who be this agbaya?! grin what you are talking about is almost a decade ago. Policies change.

In recent times running to 3 yrs atleast, Frequent visit travellers to the UK do not get notified about the success of their visa application fullstop.

No one is disputing the fact that you may have been notified back then.

Please is the bolded statement necessary? This is one of reasons why some people do not comment on this platform often. Do you know the meaning of agbaya?

Bro. Your question is still vague. Do you mean bring a family member on a visiting visa or to live there?

If nah to live there, please check out other threads on this. This thread is regarding visit visas. If that's your case, your family member needs to send you an invitation letter alongside their British passport copy or Naija Passport plus BRP.
You need to complete the entire form and decide if you can sponsor yourself or if the person needs to sponsor you. If they need to sponsor, you need to explain why they are sponsoring and they will need to provide past 6 months bank statement and payslips.
You also provide your own statement, payslips and prove ties to Naija.

It's best you are upfront and state your exact situation. Can you afford to sponsor yourself or should they sponsor you? Are you employed, studying or self employed? What do you earn? Marital status etc. Please read through the read to see how this works or nobody go answer you.

I no know too much about that one. There should be another thread for those who wan move to the UK. Search for it on nairaland and you fit ask them for the steps there. But I advise you go to the website first and understand the process so you have background knowledge and can ask specific questions.

Please, I need advice on an urgent matter.

My brother applied for a 6-month UK visa around mid-July as a first-timer. He picked up his passport today, but the duration on the visa vignette affixed to his passport is more than the six months he paid for. The visa runs from September 2023 to September 2025.

Do you guys think he should inform UKVI or he should stay silent and continue to use it? Has this happened to anyone before?

Do you guys think they will discover this later?

My brother applied for a 6-month visa in July this year, but a 2-year visa was affixed to his passport. He traveled to the UK for 2 weeks in September, but he is trying to use it again in a few days.

Do you guys think it is okay to travel with it?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Newbiein2016: 3:37pm On Dec 24, 2023
Despite several users advising that he owns up it, looks like he went ahead to use the visa as given

Did he report this? It will help his credibility with UKVI.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by AmeliaT: 4:05pm On Dec 24, 2023
Congratulations to him. That was lucky. However, he needs to report it immediately without any fear.

1. Best case is they’ll tell him not to worry and to continue as is.

2. Worst case is they’ll ask him to submit his passport and it will be cancelled from March 2024. Which is the original time he paid for and that’s fine. However, by letting them know the truth, it’s established his credibility and also shown him not to be a flight risk so for his next renewal, as long as circumstances haven’t changed, he should be fine to get it.

Please encourage him to fess up. He’s got absolutely nothing to lose and it’s better safe than sorry. It’ll be fine!

You previously mentioned he was heading to the TLS office on a Monday to inform them. This was four months ago. So, what happened?

I went back to the trail and can see everyone gave you the same advice which I hope you passed on to “your brother”. He may not be interested in listening to your righteous advice so perhaps you leave him in peace and he enjoys whatever consequences he eventually faces.

Lamide123:

Thank you. He is afraid to take it back because he is scheduled to travel on the 15 of August, and he doesn't think he will get back the passport before his travel date on 15 of August. He bought his ticket already and is nonrefundable.

Can he travel now and alert them when he gets back in September?

It actually wasn't. And I have no idea what that meant. grin just wanted the obvious conversation to end already.

As for ppl leaving the forum. Welllllllllllllllllllll nothing is permanent. A few days ago nairaland was attacked by malicious software that rendered the site inaccessible for days. If the fora dies, those that became wiser from combing these hallowed pages would have benefitted at the very least.

Is this for Victoria Island? It’s quite common with them. It also happened to us two weeks ago when trying to book for my husband’s biometrics for his renewal. The had only released appointments for the following week and all of them were paid so I decided to check on a Sunday and found a new string of appointments with very few free slots available. You can try to check at the turn of a new week but it’s not guaranteed! Goodluck!

I find it impossible to believe someone who has been through the hurdles of a previous visa application before, who has been to the UK atleast more than once would be asking these kind of questions on another tourist visa application.

Who are you exactly?!

Are you an agent or you dey try scam person?
