The title of the thread said "3 times Buhari said he approved Naira redesign". Garba Shehu's quoted statement however did not use the word "approve". So they cannot rely on an aide saying his principal "supports" a change as proof that he "approved" that change. The way government works, an approval requires a signature of a document. Yes all of this semantic, but this is the basis that lawyers use in asking a judge to throw out a case on "technicalities"

Merely between writing to the banks and them approving to release documents may take several months because they have to consider the legal and business implications to their banks;then you need to study these documents with various experts,taking several further months before you now arrive at a conclusion.

From even merely being appointed,getting office and staff to work with may take up to 2-3months for Obazee.Then for CBN staff to release any sort of document for him to peruse will take a few more months.

Do you realise that the CBN is an independent organisation and can lawfully change the nation’s currency without any interference or approval from the president. Emefiele was in full control and responsible for his actions
