Don’t mind him.

A FOOTPATH led to his village during colonial rule, not a road. Not even a ‘bad road’.

A footpath.

Yet he wants the whites back ruling him.
A slave is what he is

They were stealing the rails and insecurity also stopped the work.

There can be no progress and development in a place where there's no peace and there's daily shedding of the blood of innocent people by terrorists.
Do you have an information on the Itakpe to Abuja railway line? Have construction really start?

Firstly, that rail line looks ancient. There is no different between it and the ones Britain built in the 1800’s.

Secondly, they should end it anywhere between Abuja and Jos, taking it beyond to Maiduguiri is not necessary, in fact that would be a security threat to us in SS and SE. we don’t need boko haram or other terrorists to have easy access. Besides, there is nothing of worth that can come from that dead region.

You have terrorists in your backyard already. Were you not hiding under your bed yesterday. Satan bless IPOB.😂😂

You are very stupid and ignorant.

The British were maximum looters who came here to loot, which is the ONLY reason for colonialism.

Instead of being a stupid slave happy to be colonised, you should be asking why your country was an undeveloped bush in 1960 after they had ruled for 70 years uninterrupted and exporting your resources.

Mumu people.
Did you miss your history lesson?
Blacks also sold themselves and were very much active in the trade. Some even refused to stop the slave trade after it was abolished.

1.The British gave us railways, true, but the railways were narrow gague...which meant a trip between Lagos and Kano would take two days. MEANWHILE...by 1970's the same trip via road would take a whole day. That does wonders for passengers.

2.The railways the british gave us were for transporting goods and servicies. That's why they were darn slow. They were for transporting crops, metals, etc...people was an afterthought.

3.Railways failed in my opinion because they were heavily subsidised, and they lost money...plus road travel was quite simply a bit faster.

It's only now we are getting standard gague railway lines.

By the way, the extension of the railways to Maiduguri was completed after independence. A major project. Railways worked at least till 1990...when they collapsed.

What a good development for the region, rest is left for them if they like they should divert river to the rail line again as they did in the past by powerful people who they only source of livelihood is transport,

Their stand is that resuscitate of railways affect their business negatively

The British actually did this. This is not entirely new just refurbishing, in some section we even use the old tracks and in most cases the old bridge and carriage way constructed.
