Nothing to celebrate here. North & West both have standard gauge rail line.. what they are doing in the East is narrow gauge line which is far slower.

One country two system.

I still dey reason the matter, but na buhari and amaechi i go blame for that one. That corridor was one of the busiest especially ph to aba. Amaechi just went to like aboki ass and they still failed him.

kushites perfectbeing tsdarkside are right.

before the br:itish left Nigeria, the Br:itish did not build one university, our number of primary and secondary schools were very low, br:itish did not build
smooth roads all over Nigeria , no housing estates, no plans for clean water for communities, low number of hospitals, no or maternal hospitals, no childrens hospitals, no teaching hospitals e.tc.
majority of the private companies where owned by the br:itish and they only gave Nigerians clerical work which is what the education system they gave us is meant to produce office assistants.

All the developments you see in Nigeria today from Abuja to lagos to calabar to Akwa-ibom to oyo to Enugu e.t.c are all built by Nigerians, our parents, our grand parents e.t.c the br:itish left Nigeria to rot. Everything you, eriokanmi, oglalasioux, uptheante , tete7000 , judolisco, thatigboman, abiliboi, pussyking e.t.c had the privilege of enjoying in Nigeria was through the hardwork of parents, grand parents, and other Nigerians, yes Nigeria should be a lot better but don't ever in your life rubbish efforts of Nigerians like your parents, grand-parents e.t.c.

It's not like that. The then league of nations, now UN mandated colonial powers to relinquish powers to their colonies. That's why majority of Africa countries gained independence in the 60s. Except for countries in Southern Africa where the white began ruling after gaining independence

NARROW AND OUTMODED RAIL TRACK IN THE EAST VS MODERN WIDE TRAIN TRACK IN THE WEST/NW REGIONS. SYMBOL OF A DISJOINTED COUNTRY.
Why reconstruction of old and outmoded narrow gauge in the east but build modern and standard gauge rail tracks in the SW and NW regions? Stupidity taken to the sky. You don't believe in one Nigeria but for proceeds from crude oil in the Niger delta.

The train stations should equally be reconstructed with cutting edge designs, make we know say Tinubu truly means his words of not marginalizing the east in his administration.

Mumu. No brain.

Tell us what the British did in their 70 year rule.

Name the industries they built. Name the roads, expressways and infrastructure they built.

Are you aware they did not build ONE single power plant in Nigeria? Or even a national power grid?

KAINJI dam was our first power plant commissioned in 1964 by the Balewa administration.

Are you aware they did not build a single university in Nigeria, compared to the 250+ universities we have today?

They was no public education. Literacy rate was 5% at independence, compared to 75% today.

The only reason you stupid pea brain can type and read and write is that blacks came to power and built THOUSANDS of public schools across Nigeria, which educated you.

If the British were still in charge, you would today be a village illiterate palmwine tapper like your grandpa was under colonial rule, so STFU you self hating asswipe.
Na ignorance dey worry that one. There are lots of them who are like him.
They don't know that the colonialist came to Africa, not to develop it but to explore their resources.
The only Lagos to Kano rail track they constructed was for the purpose of transporting groundnuts from the north to the sea port in Lagos for subsequent transfer to their home countries.
The schools and hospitals were built by the missionaries, not the colonial govt.
UI that was established by the colonialists was just a college of the University of London, primarily to train locals for the administrative and clerical work in the colonial govt offices. Because they were in short of administrative manpower, which was expensive if they were to bring more personnel from Britain. They did not train Africans in areas of technology, engineering and all that would be beneficial to their rapid development. Rather they were offering courses like English, philosophy, linguistics, history European languages and so on. Till today, UI is good in arts/humanities courses

Did you miss your history lesson?
Blacks also sold themselves and were very much active in the trade. Some even refused to stop the slave trade after it was abolished.

slave trade never happened..

whyte people did not have the logistics, transportation and weaponry to carry out inter-continental slave trade.

Another thing, whyte people in that era hated black people a lot and will rather kill a black person than trade with a black person. If a black person owns a house then the whyte people will burn down that house and if the black owner does not escape from the house the black owner will be burnt to death.

In 2023, Whyte people maltreat and kill black people at the slightest opportunity.

Do you think that between the years 1600 - 1830 when racism was at it's highest and when black Americans were already in slavery do you think that they will trade with black people who were the same race and very similar to black Americans whom they had already enslaved long before they invaded Africa

black americans were enslaved in the 1600s but as at late 1890s the bri:tish were still fighting the Binis to conquer the Bini Kingdom, the bri:tish fought the Yorubas from the early 1800s till early 1900s.

so how is it possible that people the bri:tish were fighting wars against were also the same people that the bri:tish and eur:opeans claims sold their fellow blacks into slavery in their history books.

But south Africa under Mandela Mbeki built Guatrain the only speed train 🚆 in Africa today. Same SA built many cities such as Centurion Brakenfell etc that are with superior amenties compare to what the White left. Even Sowete is now a developed city unlike the ghetto it use to be under the whites so you have no shii on the black South Africans stay on what Nigerian have built especially from your tribe what city in Alaigbo can be compared to Centurion for example ? If there is none how many years decades or millennium will you igbos need to build a single city to the standard of centurion ?

Only after you have accomplished that can you open your foolish hate filled bigoted Igbo mouth n disparage the effort of others.

Eriokanmi:
The most sensible post of the day. Those who agitated for independence did so for thehr own selfish gains. See the so called pro-democracy activists of the 90s today,.they're the most beneficiary of all the goodies that democracy has to offer, while the masses they claimed to be figjting for are wallowing in penury. One of them is president today yet, federal staff went home to celebrate chrismas with nothing. He was said to own 3 private jets today whereas, he didn't have more than one car in 1993.

South Africa may not be able to build the same level of infrastructure left behind by the colonialists in the next century. They said the apartheid era witnessed by South Africans was brutal and I kept telling them that , no regime can be more brutal than that of the abacha in Nigeria.

The British were maximum looters who came here to loot, which is the ONLY reason for colonialism.

Instead of being a stupid slave happy to be colonised, you should be asking why your country was an undeveloped bush in 1960 after they had ruled for 70 years uninterrupted and exporting your resources.

Mumu people.

Africans in general are cursed. You needed to see how one guy was showering the white race with so many deserved and undeserved praises. The truth is that although our country has failed, we have done more for ourselves than the colonial thieves ever did.
