Kushites: when you say "your country" and "your resources", who is the "your" you are referring to? so since 1960 till date, what have the Nigerians that have ruled Nigeria done differently from the British? if Nigeria according to you Nigeria "was an undeveloped bush in 1960 after they had ruled for 70 years uninterrupted and exporting your resources", why has Nigeria not developed since 1960? 2 Likes |

Jokerman:.The British only developed the rail system to serve the extraction and importation of the country's resources. They didn't develop the ones that serve the populated areas. |

Kushites: They said university of ibadan was founded in 1948, colonial era. I attended the school and that's what I learnt. Some secondary schools in Lagos and elsewhere were founded before 1960. Our founding fathers, Awo, Zik and the rest went to school before the country gain independence. 1 Like |

why should it be to Maiduguri, why not cameroon. Or stop at Jos. Such a useless line. A non busy line, in cargo or people. Will they kpai if it went there. The one we like, they don't do. It's the busy body one that they like to do. This was already planned in the GEJ era, but it was at the bottom of the list. Why didn't they do the ones on the top of the list. I haven't even gotten to the quality of this quickly patch patch project. Well sha, let it not be that this is the only benefit the SE gets, because this is 10% below mediocre. We deserve more like the others. 1 Like |

Jokerman:The most sensible post of the day. Those who agitated for independence did so for thehr own selfish gains. See the so called pro-democracy activists of the 90s today,.they're the most beneficiary of all the goodies that democracy has to offer, while the masses they claimed to be figjting for are wallowing in penury. One of them is president today yet, federal staff went home to celebrate chrismas with nothing. He was said to own 3 private jets today whereas, he didn't have more than one car in 1993. South Africa may not be able to build the same level of infrastructure left behind by the colonialists in the next century. They said the apartheid era witnessed by South Africans was brutal and I kept telling them that , no regime can be more brutal than that of the abacha in Nigeria. 3 Likes |

Kushites: Wow! And the colonised people haven't looted a dime since. Be forming woke. South African infrastructure is almost in ruins because 'superior' black Africans are in power. 60% of the infrastructure we use in Nigeria today was set up by the British; the same wack railway system you are celebrating here. 1 Like |

Kushites: If the British were still ruling Nigeria, they would have developed Nigeria far beyond what it is now. There would have been massive infrastructures, good roads, pipe borne water, 24 hours electricity, sound economy, good health system, standard education & a good standard of living. In addition, there would have been nothing like Boko Haram, herdsmen, bandits & other terrorist elements. Security will be well assured for all Nigerians & crime rates will be abysmal. There would have been nothing like ASUU strikes, power outage, terrorists/bandits attacks, high level of corruption among politicians & office holders, substandard healthcare & education systems, high cost of living, religious extremism, extreme poverty, high level of unemployment etc. Nigerian politicians have destroyed the country that's why Nigerians are emigrating in droves to UK, US & other developed countries for better living conditions. God bless the United Kingdom God bless America God bless Nigeria 4 Likes |
