PLEASE Just a Word of Advice: If you LIKE take If you Like Leave it.
1. You CANNOT convert a Tourist Visa to a Work Visa while in Vietnam. You MUST Exit to another country. At the moment with your Nigerian Passport, it is VERY difficult to get a country to exit to for a Visa run. I'll advise you to be patient and process your business Visa. The number of Nigerians and Africans trouping in now with Tourist Visa with the ALMIGHTY "My Agent Told Me" story and are already overstayed and stranded.
2. Nothing Like a Factory job here. If you believe your agent, It's not my money or my suffering.
3. No country will give you a visa now as a tourist visa holder in Vietnam to go on a Visa run with your Nigeria passport. The best bet is you'll go back to Nigeria after exhausting all possible options.
4. The popular and available job as a foreigner (at least 98%) is teaching and you must have a degree and TEFL.

This is my 2023 advice and not to make a wrong decision into 2024.
If you Like you take it, if you like ignore it.
FYI: Every day we deal with hundreds of Scammers in Vietnam now concerning Visa and work.
Can the 90 days business E-visa serve this purpose or it has to be a sticker visa from Abuja?

Pls, your response will be helpful as I don't want to make any mistake.

Experience how? Book your return flight, the address where you will stay while in Vietnam, and the Visa application fee. If you meet the requirement within 5 working days you will get your visa.

What are the requirements please? Must I have a sponsor from Vietnam?
What if I don't have? What else can I use to get a business visa?

You’re right, it’s difficult to use Cambodia or laos unless you use a link, which is also very expensive.

quote author=Fifi2017 post=127705880]Goodmorning all, thank God i found this section.

Please i need your Advice before i fall into the wrong hands.

So a friend of mine who is teaching in a school got an Agent link from her brother who spoke about the teaching job thing and asked for her int passport and white background passport as well. And bomb in a week her Visa was out she was then asked to pay 850k which covers her one way ticket and accomodation while they will give her a job over there with their agent over there.

So seeing this i also informed my husband and he wants to use the same agent. But the agent said their Agent over there will give my husband a Factory job and he will be trained for 1 month. He demanded for his int passport, white background passport and a police report today.

Please And please i want to know if there are any factory jobs there and if they agent too who runs job recruitment over there cos right now i dont even know how to Vet it to know if its Legit.[/quote]

Nothing like a cheap flight again. Most people traveling to VN use Qatar airways.

Using business visa means you already have a sponsor company. And before you pay anyone for 3 months business visa what is the agreement with the company or the person?
Let me explain how the 3 months business visa works. Coming with 3 months business visa means the company sponsoring you already have a job for you but currently processing your work permit etc. but they need you to be on ground and maybe start working for them while they process the papers.
So in this case within the 3 months they should be done with the work permit and after that apply for Temporary Residence Card (TRC) . If in this situation, you don't need to exit again.
So before coming with the 3 months business visa ensure that what said above is the situation for you else, you're not far from same predicament with the tourist visa holders.

I got this particular info from a group...how authentic is it please?

But now I think with the scarcity of job and instead of you getting stranded over there
This information is for fresh applican
I advice you go with tourist and enter low province college route then pay tuition fee as low as $400
Within some month in school you will apply for work permit once they notice your document is through school route wallahi they will issue you work permit immediately

I don't have much info on how the school route operates so I cannot comment on that, please.

This isn't true, you can't apply for a work permit with a student's visa. If you are a student who wants to work you must change your visa before you can get a work permit. And changing your student visa means you'll do a visa run.

You mean one has to get the student visa in Nigeria before travelling? An Agent I met on Facebook told me the school in Vietnam will send me a visa and I will use the visa to travel.
I am now so confused
Vietnam started Visa on arrival since August 2023 for students.

Vietnam Evisa is not convertible neither Is it extendable meaning that you can not convert it to any other Visa like student, work or business and you can not extend it too, except you exit from the country.
No other type of job is certain in Vietnam except ESL jobs and you need to be fully prepared.

No need of going to Abuja for students visas, you will get your Visa at the point of entry(POE).

So once you get admission to a school in Vietnam , you are good to travel to Vietnam and be sure to get your students visa at the POE? Please give me more info.. what are the requirements for MSC ? Seems this would be a good option for me since I can’t possibly go with the tourist visa again so as not to end up been stranded.
