Or Crawl about on his hands and torso? It's one thing to use reverse technique to heal a wound and another to regenerate an entirely new head or lower body not to even mention that he is linked to Itadori's soul and there's a 90% chance that if Yuji dies then sukuna dies and loses the vessel thereby derailing his plans until another one of his fingers makes its way into some other host.

Even Uraume tried as much as possible not to deal any life threatening damage to Yuji when she was facing off against the jujutsu sorcerers and said everyone of them can die EXCEPT Itadori because Sukuna needs him alive at least until he finds a more suitable vessel. So he will ultimately have to get involved and he will (Manga) even though momentarily.
