Lol 150 naira grin grin grin

Kwakwakwa.

You no well at all. grin

Well anybody that wants to gamble staying in Nigeria should wait and see that power of demand and supply on price (value) of currency. Shebi Buhari printed (money supply) 23trn naira and lavished the money?

Tinubu Al Jagabani has already printed 7trn in 7months. By doing a simple projection, printing (increasing money supply by) 50trn naira + is not out of range for him and you can imagine what the value/price of naira will be when he's done and probably hand over to Gandollars grin

As for Yemi Cardosso, he's as useless as p in pneumonia. A toy Seyen Tinueuros and Gbajadollars will be pressing to make dollars flow. You think Tundollars Sabiudinar (A PA that bought private jet with properties all over the world) made money? Lmao

Watch out these ACN guys, they will milk Nigeria dry and rig in another embezzler to continue whatever is left of that country

Run oh !

Hello guys,

For some days now I have been on a serious dilemma whether to resign from my federal government job that pays me above N200k for my current position and migrate to the UK or stay in naija and set up a business to augment my salary. I will be 34 years next year, I feel traveling to the uk for studies next year September will delay my chances of getting married, as I have planned not exceeding 34 years without getting married.

Cc:Justwise

Japa to the UK to do what exactly? What skills do you have to offer UK employers as a federal government worker with the Nigerian government at the age of 34?

You people are making the UK seem it is Dubai or South Africa where every bloke walks in and starts earning money.

Wait until dangote refinery is complete. A dollar will exchange for 150 naira then and all japarians will be miserable.

Dangote is buying crude oil at global prices and will sell it at global prices. The notion that the money for fuel importation will be diverted to capital expenditure does not really follow, as most of the savings will be logistical. Mind you, we have debts to service.

The key to strengthening the naira is exports. But to compete in the global export market, the naira has to be devalued.

Verdict: let the naira remain where it is. A weak naira is good for the Nigerian economy.

Get married before relocating to the UK oo. It reduces boredom, financial and visa stress. A word is enough for the wise. 2 are better than one.

Not necessarily.
If one or both are not good, then how can a combination of the two of them be better than one

Kai, I have been looking for a way to explain this to "dangote refinery is the solution to our fx crisis" team, yet no avail. The above sentence captures it perfectly.

The solution to our FX problem is Tinubu resigning from that position. The man has already printed 7trn naira and he's on target of doubling Buhari's 23trn ways and means borrowing.

Nobody trusts a drug baron with money so let's forget about FDI, FPI and remittances for now. It's going to be govt of printing naira. "Enjoy your weekend oh" grin

Verdict: let the naira remain where it is. A weak naira is good for the Nigerian economy.

Iā€™ll just share my story.

Iā€™ll be 34 in 2024 as well and in 2018-2021 I worked so hard to japa with a salary of N150k. it didnā€™t work because of funds, in the midst of that, I went along with my Naija plans. I got married in 2020 and Iā€™m now with 2 beautiful daughters. Currently Iā€™m working as an expatriate earning in USD and still in Nigeria.

All I think of now is my kids, giving them the best. So while Iā€™m earning to take care of them here Iā€™m also looking at the economic situation and saving up to move them abroad in future.

So consider the odds you have, if one plan isnā€™t working, continue with the other. Also hold on to the one you have while planning the way forward. I strongly believe things will fall in place for you. I wish you the best

My advice to you is to japa to Canada if possible. Several years ago in Nigeria precisely 2015, I was earning about 750k per month and I still left. People told me it was a bad decision then but now I thank God I made the decision as most friends that criticized me then have come to their senses and are surprised I had the foresight then. The exchange rate then, was I CAD to 150 ngn. Today it is 1 CAD to 920 NGN. First, building you assets in Naira is risky as one insane CBN governor can easily print so much local currency and devalue the currency making your hard working years and saving completely worthless. I invested heavily in Nigerian stocks, houses, bonds and they are worthless today if I convert it. My house in Nigeria can barely fetch me 15000 dollars if I put it up for sale. If I had taken the same action in a proper working economy I would have become a millionaire in dollars. People ruined Nigerian banks and mismanaged shareholders fund and they are not in jail. People will eat your pension funds and nothing will.happen. Nigeria is a no go for any smart young man with vision. I have a foreign passport, access to a world class healthcare. I know how much assets I have built abroad since I left Nigeria. I look at my years in Nigeria as the locust years of my life. There is no accountability in Nigeria. 200k is less than 200 dollars

If uk nor pay you...oga Ade...book flight

This is what makes NIGERIA corrupt. If he's leaving let him depart and resign appropriately and met others in Nigeria get the space. We need to stop all these bad behavior. What we cal this Nigeria Factor is nothing but nonsense that we all directly and indirectly reap its results.

Raising a family and earning just above 200k in the present Nigeria is living from "hand to mouth". Civil service where thier salary increment yearly is abysmally low.
You think it's something now because you are single.

You had better run 40/40 now you are still a youth so your kids can thank you in the future. You can start dating now and if she is understanding she will wait for 2 or 3 years for you to settle.. Marriage is not running away.

It dependsā€¦ spouse visa, professional job visa good! Any other form of entry is not worth it!
I live in the UK and came in on a spouse visa, I got integrated easily and quicklyā€¦ moved into our house exactly 3years after finally moving to the UK (cos I did a bit of back and forth) And I know someone who even got settled even more quickly!
Student visaship is a scam! If you are coming in with a visiting visa donā€™t even bother. If you have that amount money for school runsā€¦ think deeply about an investment!

Finally and most importantly, please pray šŸ™šŸ» donā€™t let these generation deceive you that prayer doesnā€™t work. What does not work is a lazy manā€™s prayerā€¦ the prayer of a diligent person gets Godā€™s attention.

Good luck!
