I think Adebayo Tijani should be among the first 5 on that list, I really wonder how he went down to No. 10. He needs to really buckle up more. That gap by Funke Akindele, a.k.a Jenifa, is very wide o. Wow!! She is really doing very well o. She has returned to her Celestial Church foundation, enjoying Kent Edunjobi & Apex choir's Ebenezeri and back to bursting the charts with her excellent arts so much that the President had to congratulate her as reported on radio Lagos evening news yesterday. Well done Funke Omo Ikorodu Oga. One will not easily know that Funke will be 50 years old in the next 2 years. Right from the days of "Speak Out" to now, Funke, You're doing very well. In reality, Wedding party produced by Kemi Adetiba is the highest grossing Nollywood wood film if you consider the exchange rates at the times of production. Wedding party produced in 2016 made N452million when exchange rate was about N390 per dollar. That gives us about $1.2 m dollars. On the other hand, Funke Akindele's Children of Judah grossed N1B ( latest figure as at yesterday 5th January 2024) which in dollar terms is about $833k dollars (1 $= N1200) 24 Likes 3 Shares |

Complete misinformation and pure delusion. Lionheart alone was sold for $3.8 million which is about 4.5 billion Naira. Cinema movie producers pay a lot to promote and hype their movies, in addition to their actual production cost, and the large percentage going to cinema houses and tax! Their actual profit is a small percentage of the gross. Netflix and cinema industry in Nigeria is not viable for economic and cultural reasons. That is why foreign movies still dominate Nigeria cinema. Over 95% of nollywood fans still watch movies through Cable Television channels and YouTube.
