Nollywood didn't start in the past decade. Yorubas upgraded the Nollywood standard from low budget to medium within the past few years that doesn't mean they own Nollywood. The owners of Nollywood are still creating movies enmass.

Wedding party produced in 2016 made N452million when exchange rate was about N390 per dollar. That gives us about $1.2 m dollars.

On the other hand, Funke Akindele's Children of Judah grossed N1B ( latest figure as at yesterday 5th January 2024) which in dollar terms is about $833k dollars (1 $= N1200)
