How do I go about proof of employment when it is a family business and I earn in cash.
Read somewhere that a family member esp parents are not in the best position for reference letters

Walahi, they'll ask you to pay again. Me I ended up with free self-service even after paying for assisted for the initial date.

If it's self-service, log into your application you'll find an upload button when you're on the TLS site. Click on it and upload the documents.

Please has anyone tried applying through TLS site? Asking for my sister, she has been trying to login it but it’s showing error. She has tried going back to the main application but no way to go to TLS site, she has paid her visa and IHS fees, when she tried booking for biometrics it’s keeps showing 8am asking her to pay, she could not move on and had to pay for prime time, immediately after paying the site went off and she has not been able to login since , please what can she do ? Thanks

Print 30 days statement and make sure the balance for the 30 days is up to the amount stated on the email. You can run petty transactions like deposit 500 naira, recharge 200 naira. Ensure the balance doesn't go below the amount stated on the email for one day.

No, Sir, It's clearly stated on the gov.UK website. the requirement for getting a student-dependant visa for MSc courses is that your course must have started before January 1, 2024. So if your course start date was any date last year 2023, your dependants can still join you so long you haven't completed your masters. Even after January 1st 2024, dependants can still join you on MRes and PhD programmes

Yes you can use a domiciliary account for your proof of funds , make sure you calculate the conversion from GBP- USD properly if you would be using USD.

I have a few tips for the students preparing to come to the UK in 2024

The UK is still one of the best in that it offers a soft landing especially because of the weather and student jobs ( care and warehouse jobs ) but here are a few things to note
1. Don't just search for a school with the lowest Deposit, there's so much more to FINANCE especially on an MSc/MBA course in the UK than the deposit. Search for a school with a flexible payment plan. Make sure you can comfortably pay your enrolment dues when your school resumes.

2. Please plan for Accommodation, there are many students here stranded because they thought they would find a friend or family somewhere to put up with. Book Airbnb at least for a month

3. Have backup funds cos you may get a job in one week and you may also spend the next 90 days searching for your first job

4. Prepare for the Programme itself, Don't just focus on the japa, Plan for the master's or MBA program you're coming for.

5. Prepare for culture shocks and Try to delete some Nigerian mentalities

6. Start Planning your next move from the day you get your student visa approved, if you wait till the end of your MSc to plan your next move then it will be too late.

Which job? I can boldly hit my chest and say over 80% that came in last September has not gotten job till this January. Jobs are scarce now.... Let's stop creating this false impression.
The few I know that got.. Had to travel 3 hours going n 3 hours coming just to work less than 20hours per week n it's only when they are called.

Is it the care job that now ask for 6 months experience? Or the warehouse that don't accept students. Or the indeed that u keep getting unfortunately we have proceeded to the next stage.
We only hear the few positive side and never got to hear the numerous tears, pain and anguesh of numerous people that Japa until you find yourself here before you start knowing the plain truth

You will be shocked that with your almighty IT skills one hardly gets invite for interviews hence they didn't see any UK references or having not worked in the UK before or got UK experience.

I have been applying for data science for the past 3 months after getting certified on udemy.. Yet no invite

I have been applying for data science for the past 3 months after getting certified on udemy.. Yet no invite

To be honest data science isnt a good IT skill and udemy certifications are nonsense. Most data science positions require a phd in computer science. Software engineering is much better and theres multiple paths in software engineering even parts no one has ever heard about.

Men I would advise you to learn something better now that its still early. Maybe java with springboot and learn how to deploy to AWS and Azure.
