There is a difference between occurances and a trend. Do you really think a page would be enough if one starts collating all the anti-women threads on this platform, especially in the romance section? At least, you were able to name some specific people and tagged them with whatever label you've chosen. One can't even pick a specific set of names if the table is turned because it has become a norm for most guys here to insult Nigerian women all because they want to "belong". Nobody has an better view of this platform that the owners who monitor it very closely. If they are out to tackle the anti-women trend, it's because they can clearly see that it has become a very serious issue on here. I've seen many people create threads like this just to undermine that effort, but that only goes to show how deep-rooted the problem is.

When we say black lives matter, we're not saying that others don't. We're only identifying and addressing the lives that have been treated differently for long. When Seun says he's out to wage war against the anti-women trend, it doesn't mean a war against men and certainly doesn't mean there aren't threads like the one you referenced. It simply means that he and his team have observed something that poses a threat to the existence of thier platform and they are facing it head-on. There'll always be some people bickering on both sides, but when it becomes a dangerous trend where everything leads to the abuse of a whole gender so constantly to the point where they have to leave the platform for you, then it begs for attention.

When you open most of the threads up there, you'd see that most times, it's always the OP versus other commenters. But when you open the anti-women threads, the whole page would be full of other guys joining the OP to insult women. That is already a movement. Even in unrelated threads, you still see people typing "Nigerian girls are useless", "fear women", etc. A lady cannot create a thread here to seek advice without being abused for things a guy would easily get a pass on. We see threads of crimes committed by guys every single day, and no one mentions anything about gender, but once it's a lady, everyone would be on about how women are this or that. How are you not worried about this dangerous dichotomy? How do you expect our sisters and daughters to feel about themselves when they read these things? It's time to grow up and know that always calling out the opposite gender doesn't make anyone more manly. If anything, it's boyish.

It all began as harmless banter; I was part of it. We'd share jokes, yab people, and many were in on the fun. We organized programs, engaged in various games, and it was enjoyable until the attacks took a targeted turn. Initially, the yabing was for fun, and we would yab someone without even checking the username. But as it escalated into an agenda, the once light banter morphed into full-fledged attacks.

On any thread you opened, the comments from Poco, Coco etc would be replied with damning accusations.

I was like, 'Nah, this is getting personal.'

Poco was a gentle soul back then. She'd report and threaten with arrests, for where. It was chaotic. There was a particular guy with numerous alts; I feared he might physically harm her because his own too much.

Aunty grew weary of playing the nice girl and sprouted fangs, and surprisingly, it worked.

The language bullies understand is bullying.

Nairaland was a blast until known individuals invaded it with unknown usernames. I'm not sure if it will ever get better

Some of these newer accounts don’t even know what’s up. They just heard poco and coco are man haters and ran with it.

Offline he sounds so confused and meek. There was one time they called him and I was right there. I wondered where all the bravado went to. You don't want to know his actual life. But on Nairaland he claimed Zenith Bank came to his house to update his NIN. At a point I was like, won't this one die of debt over legal fees. My conscience come dey bite me sef.

Na babes wey dey fall for their lies I pity.

It was much later I discovered that he owned the alt behind the Ondo fuckathon story. By that time I was already too distracted with life offline to go after him.
