If people try to turn it to an ethnic fight, trust me fubara will lose, they are 3m registered voters in Rivers state and the 4 ikwerre LGA boast of 1.3 million voters, the remaining is shared among the 19 LGAs, the ikweerres will never allow sim to win in their LGAs in 2027 if this fight degenerates to a tribal war, they can easily give the ticket to another ijaw to whittle sims stronghold, its called divide and conquer, many of them already see sim as an ungrateful person because they came all out for him, he got the highest vote in the ikwerre areas.

The senator Allwell Oyenso is from Etche, the Rivers EAst senatorial district is made up of 4 Ikwerre LGAs, omuma, etche and okrika, the last occupant was from okrika, Senator George Sekibo, you guys talk about things you know nothing about, I think the government should clamp down on the Internet, people take advantage of it to heat up the polity

If you think you can come into a thread about Rivers state and try to talk down Ikwerres, then you're just a clown, because the action of Lord Lugard in 1912, set Ikwerres on a pedestal. It gave Ikwerres a developmental headstart over others.

We are not Igbos who claim people they have no historical ties with just that they share some words in common. Etche is contagouos with some ikwerre communities and shares some words in common with ikwerre people but are not ikwerre people.

I am not Igbo and I am not comfortable when Ikwerre is called Igboid tribe by Igbo people, as a backyard way of forcing their identity.

That term Igboid was coined by a foreigner in University of Portharcourt few years ago, who was grouping languages that have affinity or common terms. This is normal worldwide.

She did not group ethnicity or tribes but languages.
Some people are now grouping people as their “Igboid tribes” that must be part of their breakaway country.

Oga going by your logic, the world will be made of just one ethnicity because there will always be sharing of boundary.

States were created because people agitated for them to be created, because they felt subjugated by certain groups. Someone just didn’t wake up and decided to create States.
