We're just used to the pampering of subsidy.
If we want to be like the developed countries of this world, I guess we should also spend like them.

Na my neighbour talk am ooooh

If we must spend like the developed countries then we must have a good government... Alot of individuals are spending x3 of their monthly earnings... If we must spend then the economy must be good...

Re: Average Monthly Bills Spent On Subscription/Utilities..!!! by faceland: 7:09pm On Jan 11
About 10k to 12k on data, shared between 3 phones and 5 SIM cards (some are 300 naira a month for 1GB sub for emergency when one network fails, while one SIM is strictly for Night Plan of 100 naira for 1GB).

Electricity is about 20k to 30k a month since 2023 (100% no AC)... Before 2023, it was 10k to 15k a month with AC useage.

My food is 60k, my neighbor feed his gaint dog with 30k.

The problem with school bus is they pick the child by 6am pick like 18 other children then in the evening they drop the children by 5pm after dropping 16 other children first. Security situation is not making us have the confidence to drop all our kids in one school bus that the driver is paid only N50k monthly. He may team up with ritualist , kidnappers or simply say the children did not enter his bus. It will be a police case but will that return the children..!

An average of 5k is spent on subscription/utilities per month with 12months in a year depending on individual in this sinking government; data sub, tv sub, electricity sub, airtime sub, gas bill et al...

Data sub: 5k or more depending on individual. There are some users spending heavily on this..
Airtime sub: 5k or more depending on individual
DStv yanga (with reasonable channels) is 4,200
Prepaid Meter recharge: 5k or more depending on individual
Refilling of gas for 6kg is 6k+ depending on individual. There are those with 12kg cylinder...
===> An average of 300,000 is spent on subscription per year..

What about;
Feeding
Transport
Rent
Groceries and Cloth
Lawma

What about those with family...??!!!

MAY GOD HELP THE SON OF MAN in this trying time!!!..
I spend more on data oooo to make it worse 5gb on mtn , glo no dey last me past one week that's about 20gb in a month , if person Begin keep money for subscription omo na big baller oo but then smartphone without data is dead only that at least am happy there are so business one can do online and earn so the expenses its not completely a waste but you mtn data fear them , glo dey burn ooo but not like wicked mtn , Airtel too dey burn but not like mtn, I don't want to talk of 9 mobile because that one no even get network at all 9 mobile is useless network
Re: Average Monthly Bills Spent On Subscription/Utilities..!!! by skj1377(m): 7:19pm On Jan 11
I forgot to add is not only DStv I downgraded I also downgraded the school ooooo. The school my children are going now hmmm the school fees for the two of them for 1year is the school fees for their previous school for one child for 2 terms. On school fees alone am saving close to N1.5million fa. Madam is not happy ooo neither is my mum . My mum even offered to balance the school fees but I refused. But like I said it's a temporary thing. Expensive school are luxury if you can afford it. The former school had mopol escort in each school bus. The school bus is executive and only 8 children per hummer bus tinted glass etc. hmmm . Am not happy oo but what can I do!!
