Thank God for you. I read here of how someone was ban because of fake statement of account. Thank God for you o

opebajo11:
Hello everyone,

My application has been messed up by an agent. He submitted fictitious documents and other information that are not true about me.

Problem started when he refused to drop login credentials to my IRCC application portal and he was acting suspicious, so I decided to verify every document that he sent me.

LOA for Conestoga College, course: Information Technology Business Analysis (1372). This was fake. School responded to my mail that information on the LOA does not match their record.

After so much pressure in November 2023 to know the status of my application and requesting for my login credentials to IRCC portal or screenshot of my dashboard and email he used to submit my application. He sent me a refusal letter dated barely 2 weeks after my biometrics. Date on refusal letter, March 29, 2023. I did my biometrics March 16, 2023.

At this point, it was dawn on me that I have been a victim of a bad agent. So I went further to order for GCMS notes+documents. See below the GCMS note:

Text: The applicant has not provided a plan of studies. As such, the applicant has failed to satisfy me that pursuing the selected program of study is reasonable given the high cost of international study in Canada when weighed against the potential career/employment benefits after completion, and the local options available for similar studies.
The applicant did not demonstrate that he/she is sufficiently well established and would leaveCanada at the end of a period of authorized stay.
Bank statement comes from a microfinance bank and is unverifiable. I am not satisfied that sufficient funds will be available for the applicant's studies.
I'm not satisfied on balance that the eligibility requirements of R216 are met and that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of a temporary stay.

The bank statement too was probably a fake one, but thankfully I was not issued a ban.

After carefully looking at the information and documentation he submitted I noticed whole lot of errors:

He stated that I’m single. I have two kids and legally married

Wrong Mother's and Father's name

Gave me LOA for Conestoga College, course: Information Technology Business Analysis (1372). This was fake

Different course submitted on application:

STUDY PERMIT
School: Designated Learning Inst-NL
DLI Name: Memorial University of Newfoundland
Level of Study: University - Master's Deg.
Authorization Level: Any Designated Post Secondary Institution
Field of Study: Business/Mgmt/Marketing

He lied that I graduated with first class from a fictitious University with fake course Financial Accounting

My real course was Computer Science

Now my questions is:

If at any point VO would make reference to previous applications submitted while reviewing a new one.
OR
new application will be assessed on its own merits as stated on the refusal letter?

With the well articulate writeup why would you outsource something as sensitive as this to the extent that you were kept totally in the dark.

Come on people

It depends on the program of your choice and the level of education. Some schools accept 3rd class for postgraduate cert and diploma programs. You can reach out if you need help with admission
MarksmanD:
Hello Everyone here,
I met with some travel agents and I was advised that my Uni grade (3rd class. 1.65 CGPA) was too low to get me admitted into a program of my choice at any college, despite having almost a decade of professional experience in it. Is this anyway true? I'll be glad if someone can share their experience if they have encountered something like this.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 9:03pm On Jan 13
It is usually frowned upon when someone is going for a lower education level as it looks more like a program taken just for the sake of migration to Canada. But, you can address the concern in your well-articulated SoP. I know that most business degrees completed many years ago are almost obsolete due to the emergence of new technologies and trends, and these postgraduate programs are designed for those wishing to update themselves on recent market trends in their industry. The key is to give a strong enough opinion on why the program is relevant to your career growth. It helps when the intended program is related to your present occupation and an area of specialization. As mentioned above, it's easier to show career progression with a higher level of education.

All the best.

I'm having same issue ih, I generated mbs from access bank with a lien on a particular amount, but when I printed my statement from the bank the total amount reflected in my cleared balance. Will this statement format be different from what is sent to the embassy?
Mamaoseme33:

No, as long as the lien was removed the day your "my bank statement" ticket was created for you by your bank. However, if the lien wasn't removed while creating MBS the money will not reflect in your available bal. Because of the lien. I think GLOBUS bank have a way they do theirs even with lien. But for first bank the lien has to be removed first before the money is moved to your available bal. I hope this helps

It will end in praise

Please guys i plan to apply for a program at university of Alberta for fall 2024.

Do they have high rate of admission?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Excelasa: 1:46pm On Jan 14
[img][/img]Hello,

I’ve got a couple of request from people who are going to school in May or September this year on how we can support each other. As a result of this, I have created this WhatsApp group to serve as a support group for us all to interact and discuss things around securing accommodation, flight booking, landing, navigating school and any other necessary information that may be useful. Please join via this link: https:///HY4lJ0kVoXPEi7tTp9Yi8Z

Just so you know that I did my application all by myself- from admission, to getting scholarship, and finally visa approval. I may have one or two tips that could be helpful. I look forward to connecting with you all.

PS: If you’re unable to join via the link, please reach out via 08141214773 and I’ll add you.

Cheers!

Hi, I think you may need to do a quick search to know their acceptance rate. However, I know a couple of persons who have gotten admission and are currrbly doing their program.

TunnyOgunnowo:

Hello, after you submitted, has the surge in exchange rate affected your POF? Going by currently exchange rate as at today January 14th (N713/$CAD), is your POF still sufficient?

And if not, what are your options?

I'm asking because I also submitted in December 2023 and as at when I submitted my POF was sufficient but now exchange rate is increased and my POF is now short about 500$CAD.

From my observation and little experience, Ircc use time stamp of the day you submitted to evaluate your application. So you don't need to be worried about the current rate. If not, many people that submitted before the January deadline will also be worried for the new POF for living expenses

Dear house,
I received passport request yesterday but my passport expires in 2026 while my program is till 2027. Do I need to apply for a new passport or submit the current one. My program already started.

Can I submit my passport at any vfs center as my biometric was done in Nigeria but I am currently not in Nigeria.

How long after passport submission is the passport return.

I am heading to Memorial University and I would need help with accommodation. Any help will be highly appreciated.
Submit your current passport, you will have to renew when the time comes.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JapaPrince: 5:17am On Jan 15
Happy new year !!
Please when applying for schools consider provinces that offer PNP to students after studies, remember PR is the long term goal.
E.g New Brunswick offers direct PNP to graduates the only requirement is to graduate from an institution in the province.
