Happy new year everyoneโฆ does anyone live around burnt oak and Edgware. For me , this area is a bit off. Coming from south east London that feels like Lagos. How does a lady get a hand of things in this north. Na only Asians full everywhere. No random Nigerian restaurant, salon, social gathering like they do in Peckham or Woolwich , children playground and groups, even black dominated Catholic Church, I miss south east oh๐ฅฒ. How Nigerians in north London Dey take do things? Who get better lash technician contact or ofsted childminder way Dey affordable? |

Lexusgs430: Many times, it's the paying masters students who have failed to communicate their intent unashamedly. A UK masters is manytimes worth little both in the UK and home nations. People migrate mainly for economic reasons as has been the case for centuries. The reason why we have many foreign born NHS staff is not because they ran out of people to save in their home countries. If I'm paying 40k for something, there is no shame in stating clearly what my end goal is. The govt already knows that. Take 4 big cohorts of students 1. China- their numbers have fallen for the first time in over a decade largely due to their local demography and the fact that a UK degree does not offer same opportunities to returning students like in times past. 2. Nigeria and India- >95% of this cohort come for migration. Like they've demonstrated before they'd keep their money once the tide changes. 3. EU- no comment. It'd be interesting to see where this eventually settles |

Good afternoon and happy sunday all. Please i recently switched employer on skilled visa and need to apply for a new BRP. I have been checking online with no headway, i would greatly appreciate information on the steps or on how to apply. Thanks |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Goodenoch: 1:32pm On Jan 14 |
Georgiedey: Changing employers requires applying for a new visa, so they will send you a new BRP as with any other visa. It usually arrives in 2 - 3 working days in my experience. Check the email with the visa approval - the details should be there. |

Goodenoch: This is not entirely correct, changing employer does require you to apply for a new visa. You simply need to apply to update your visa. 2 Likes |

adekzy: You guys should be fair in your criticisms. So Houtis are now the victim? Where were u and houti supporters since November when they started attacking international shipping in international waters? Are they ships doing their legitimate business part of the war? Why can't they attack Isreal and leave innocent ships alone? If your brother is a sailor who plies that route and they kill him for something that is not his business, would you be here talking nonsense? Or the lives of sailors in international waters don't matter to you? The houtis are very stupid. They will draw the fire by themselves but when the fire starts consuming them, they will start crying genocide. They won't care about their civilians now ooo. On Oct 7, Hamas in their own wisdom decided that the best way to resolve their grievances with Isreal is to go into isreal and massacre civilians and take more than 300 hostage from Isreal, Imagine! What were they thinking? Isreal of all countries that is built on war. They know their civilians will pay the price cos Isreal will surely come for them but that is their goal, to draw the fury of Isreal and come back to claim victim and accuse Isreal of genocide. I expected demonstrations from Palestinians, arabs, south Africans etc to condemn hamas actions during that time Hamas carried out that terror act on isreal but they didn't. If they had done that, it would be fair to hang Isreal for the situation in Gaza. By the way, this whole middle east crisis is formented by Iran to get regional hegemony over the arabs. Why is Shia Iran carrying Sunni Palestinians matter on their head while Sunni arabs like Saudi,Egypt,Jordan etc aren't? Are you telling me that Shia Iran love the Palestinians more than the Palestinians Sunni brothers? Iran would not join the fight but will engage its proxies to fire the weapons and draw the fight to their own land and the mumu idiots will do it and cry genocide tomorrow. As for South Africa, let them solve their xenophobic problems before putting their mouth in other people's issues. Before the end of the year, their citizens will go and kill foreigners in their country and destroy their businesses but they are here forming holier than thou. By the way, Ukraine did not attack Russia to start the war. Russia brought the war to them. If Ukraine did what Hamas did, nobody would have given a damn about their suffering. You can't initiate a war and claim victim, I won't buy that. 6 Likes |
