i dont wanna blame Nwabili for that goal, but omo meehn me i was the only one arguing that he should have made a reflexive dive….i guess he already gave up on the dive, thats why he stood and allow the ball roll in..some other “high-hyper flexible keeper” go still wan make a last decision dive…but all in all i was calmer watching him keep than having Uzoho in goal

The first goal was on iwobi and two defenders who couldn't react fast enough to clear the ball after a d opponents lost it

1. The EQG team had a game plan to seat back, soak the pressure and hit Nigeria on the counter

And there defense was cagged so Nigeria can't penetrate.

2. In such a game, a direct play will never work as they will always over power you or frustrate you.

But Nigeria was playing a direct ball making Osimhen the sole focus of our play. Every one was trying to pass to him. Of course the EQG will ensure they're all on him and stop his flow

3. What the coach should have done is to split thier defense by using more of the wings to drew them out.
And Moses Simon and Chukweze would have done that well.
But he kept Chukweze on the bench and Moses Simon was moved to the right-wing role instead of his more familiar left-wing position, this disrupted the team's attacking dynamics.

And also use more strike option with at least two strikers. Would have been ok

4. He left it too late before bringing in wingers Chukweze..
And the striker at barely 3 minutes to go

Jose Peseiro is still a learner

But osimhen is better than haaland and benzema

Some of you should just stick to farming your cassava and leave sports analysis

The dude is getting just 1 goal in this entire tournament and will go down as CAF's worst pick for player of the year

Hopefully by then, hince fans would taper down their hype

Nonsense

Osimhen is not even in Napoli's top 5 strikers of all time

Based on individual ability

Guy is overrated and hopefully, this CAF competition opens his eyes and those of his fans to his true abilities

Just learnt that the super eagles players had a separate meeting excluding the coach and his coaching staff.

I think the result and several missed chances promoted the meeting

I think u need to watch it again. The player tried to pass iwobi, the ball hit him, then rolled to Onyeka who instead of booting the ball positioned it again for the opponent to finish his mesmerizing dribbles before dropping it on a plate for the scorer. The thing is as usual everyone was ball watching. Even Yusuf who was closest to the guy didn't read the danger.

This was how we conceded the goal. Can we see what ball watching can cause. No 3 was not marking anyone. He didn't even know that he is not useful to that defence.

Peseiro should just start Osayi on the right and Aina on the left or Start Aina on the right and Bruno on the left,Sanusi yes a Porto player but lacks the modern day left back style, too rigid....pls is there any difference between Chukwueze and Simon.
None. They can't dribble, they can't cross.

This tournament is way more better than the last one in Cameroon in terms of football played on the pitch. I can remember after the opening game Cameroon played, the rest of the first group games ended 1-nil...

EQG that we split their defense into nice bits na im you dey say we should not have used direct approach. When the opposition goalkeeper wins man of the match that should tell you something. JPes tactics was spot on. That game was defined by bad luck and awful misses

Like Yusuf like Ayinde.
What if Yusuf is ruled out for the next game. Will Onyedika be deployed as DM and Onyeka moved to B2B?? That will be another option. Am not sold out with Aribo in that position.
our midfield was immediately stabilized when Joseph Aribo came in. He brought calm and composure which did not allow the otherside penetrate from the midfield like they were doing, and which is also how they scored the first goal. Yes, Yusuf was full of running, but Joseph gave us back the control over the midfield, which also brought out the best in Iwobi.
