No, they didn't. Go back and read it yourself but with an open mind and using your common sense to interpret and understand.

If they didn't lie so what is the problem here, you want me to see it as a lie or what?

So you need vessel to transport crude from Lagos offshore to onshore? How economical is such an arrangement when he doesn't even procured any of such vessel? Nigeria is planning or already building gas pipeline to Europe and Dangote will depend on intercontinental hired vessels to transport crude from Lagos to Lagos.
slimthugchimee2:

He gets crude locally from Agbami offshore oil field

Now answer this question, if you want to transport a large size of crude from an offshore oil field to Lagos, how would you do it?

I don't understand this. There's a crude oil pipeline that runs from Bonny in nigerDelta to Lagos dangote refinery, what's our issue with shipping? Also what about our trains why can't we put crude oil on those trains and send dem to dangote refinery
There is no rail link from the Niger delta to Lagos..

The pipes that run from the Niger delta to Lagos is meant for gas only not crude oil

Must we shipped the fuel to his refinery? Let connect pipe to his refinery from the oil well.

I'm not a fan of Dangote, the guy will bastardize every progress we have made so far in resurrecting our Pandgolo refineries.

The vessels transporting crude from nigeria to US or petroleum products from US to Nigeria were they all owned by Nigerians?

Besides what the writeup states is the no company had a vessel big enough to transport 1m barrels at once

Again what if Dangote decides to buy crude from another oil well in Nigeria, he will build another pipeline to the oil well?

1. No competitors yet.

2. And Dangote main Targets are neighbouring countries. Like Benin republic, Togo , Ghana etc

3. The price might be reduced in the future, Maybe 500 naira. But not less than that.

Bros, this is an opportunity for you to start your own shipping company. You can liase with some Billionaires around you and buy two big ships to start plying around Nigerian water ways carrying crude and other materials.

Not only owning a ship, building one too. I do watch on Discovery ID how most Singapore companies build those extremely mighty ship and I can't just help but marvel.

I saw one documentary how Palm oil is being shipped from Malaysia, the risk navigating the sea and all the technology involved. Forget it, we still have a very long way to go as a country.

Besides, if someone from Nigeria owned ship with such capacity, what would he be shipping with it? Maybe register with NNPC to be shipping crude oil?

Nigeria used to have Nigeria National shipping Line (NNSL) which had 32 ships in 1979 but was mismanaged with monumental corruption such that by 1995, Abacha had to liquidate the company.

What is wrong if Abia, Rivers and Bayelsa States set up their own refineries to supply petroleum products to their peoples just as Edo Refinery is doing on a small scale?

I wish to remind everyone of the message for all born again Christians:

When you get to that point where you feel you are finally doing what God wants and you are living a sin free life, watch yourself. Spiritual pride is at the door and you must rule over it else it will consume you. ( Gen. 4v7) .

This is the time you begin to become judgemental of others, feel too righteous to ask for the forgiveness of your sins. Be CAREFUL!!!

I leave you a message from Apostle Paul:

1Cor.10.12 - Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
For those of you yet to repent, God is waiting for you.
Nigeria is the one fighting itself

They had no incentives? Who told? Have you ever wondered which ships all the companies that buy Nigerian oil use.

firearcher:
Its simple. They had no incentive to own such ships before. But now they do. Time for the companies to shore up their capital base and capacity.

Nigeria will be great.

So inside your mind each oil will has loading terminal? Or you think that Nigeria are selling crude directly from oil well? There is crude oil gathering facility, from such facility is were they transport it to loading jetties. My point is that it is not economical.
