Take a visit to some of these Africa countries and come back to give thanks to God on behalf of Nigeria.

Is this man insane? Okay, so since it didn't happen, who sai? Is Nigeria better off? Are Nigerians enjoying the fruits of Democracy? Is there really any difference BTW what we call democracy in this country and an actual military dictatorship?

As far as we know, this one is worse because in the military things are done fast and decisively, whereas what we have here is a situation whereby other arms of government still worship the executive, but still there's a lot of bureaucracy which makes policy making tideous and much more expensive.

Don't even get me started on how the so-called democratic government doesn't listen to the judiciary. They detain innocent people for as long as they like regardless of how many times the courts have freed them. Tell me, what is really different? This one is even worse because it is more expensive to run!

When my grand father came of age. Visitors weren't always allowed to see him. He had influence with our state military governors then. So, I watched this man as an intelligent man to an old man.... When I asked my mum why they ain't really allowing him to meet people like before, she told me it's because of age and people misinterpreting him on some certain issues. And then he might be talking vaguely on sensitive discussions. I just got to know that age was no longer on his side..... This is why I don't like old people becoming our leaders. Soyinka shouldn't be allowed to come close to the press or online. They will always talk nonsense.

Shame on Obi and that his datti running mate.

Ignoramus!

As if Soyinka in the 1980s when he served as FRSC head, knew that IBB would nullify elections later in 1993.

If you are empty headed, stop making a public disgrace of your ignorance.

So, Nigeria has now become a better place, Prof?

This is the disease we are talking about.

It is true that BAT is your friend.
The disease of in as much it is my tribe or my person that's handling the affairs, regardless of what he does, he is a sacred cow.
It is crazy.
Prof never saw anything wrong with the last election.
For as much I wouldn't recommend or wish for instability like the yester years of election violence, becoming mute because your tribe became the holder of a public office is also part of problem.

Had Obi won the 2023 election, would you people have called for Military take-over? Someone that was not supported by the sitting president and had unfriendly policies churned our few months to the elections in order to bring him down eventually maneuver his way, strategized and came out victorious and you want to truncate his victory just like you did to Abiola. People should learn how to accept defeat and stop heating the fragile system. Some people think having 100% vote in their region alone is enough to win presidential election in Nigeria but they forgot that once you fail in core north and southwest, forget it, you cant become the President.

Bloody hypocrite! So what was the same Soyinka thinking when he agreed to serve as FRSC boss in the Babangida government that also nullified the popular June 12 election of 1993 that robbed MKO Abiola of his God-given mandate?

Having advocated for the disastrous Buhari's presidency despite knowing his antecedents, kongi till today has never apologized for that error or commented on the corrupt nature of Tinubu including his CSU certificate forgery, identity theft, bullion vans saga, and the gbajue perpetuated by him and INEC in the 2023 elections. It is Peter Obi matter he carry for head. All because it is an ethnic affair.
Wole Soyinka was the founder of Road safety corp before Babangida adopted it nationally and appointed Soyinka as head of the agency. Stop giving wrong information to gullible zombidients.

Dafti and Pandora pathological lair, YES DADDY religious fanatical IPOB terrorist OBi should be barred from running for office again. They are just like Trump, trying to destroy the system simply because they lost.

What he said just confirms that Tinubu is his cordial person. That's not a problem in itself, where the problem is, is being unable to speak truth because it is your friend or person that's in power.

It is true that most activists in Nigeria protest because the oppression they voice out against doesn't favour their own cause. But it does, they lose their voices

Peter Obi is a bitter, sour loser.

He knew before the election that he was going to come 3rd, but he was counting on the youths to revolt against the electoral umpire.

His only major achievement in the last election is the one party state he help sustained.

Nobody will be talking about him by 2027.

And as shameless as he is, he might still come back to the pdp and his ass lickers will sing his praises

Kongi And The Beatification of Intellectual Emptiness

It's only sane, astute minds that will be able to grasp the very essence of what Soyinka is saying. It's a broth not for the consumption of weak, empty and oft insipid minds, even if they eat from the broth piecemeal by piecemeal.

WS will be 90 on July 13, God willing. I want to ask how many of those attacking him here for expressing his thoughts can auction a fraction of his intellect? Some empty-headed insouciant singlet boys just sit down somewhere and spew out rubbish, without any consideration for sound judgement. Yet these deprived souls are beatified with likes and shares.
