Your friends need to suffer some more before he will wake up and realize that acquiring skills in this age and time is so easy that it is free...

But you are still hoping someone will come and save you, help you, guide you, show you ... We all must overcome that stage and realize NO body is going to come and save you infact nobody cares...

Better enter YouTube and invest your time daily, learning any tech skills... Anything computer based... Do this for 6 months and then write all the free Google certifications, once you get to this point you would have transformed yourself and will be able to detect opportunities that are all around you that your skills can be useful for... Forget age... Just start now .... and stop smoking weed or anything that alters your perception of reality.


But I can bet you, your friend will not make any effort to change ... Because just like a boy waiting at the bus stop in the wilderness with hope of the bus arriving soon till he turns too bones ... That is how he has waiting till he became 40 and on.

He should start learning skill very fast both manual and digital skill..i have a cousin that learn skill at his age he is doing fine now and got married..

This is quite on the high side. I pray a helper locate him soon.

That 100k can do a lot.

Let him start with learning how to drive a car - 20-30k fixes this.

He should immediately proceed to truck driving after mastering car driving - 40k can fix this.

He should them move to learn crane and forklift driving.


All these wont take more than 3-5 months.


Woth these three skills, he can get variety of jobs and will almost never be out of jobs


With these skills, he can get jobs that pays him atleast 70,000 - 120,000 Naira per month within six months after he masters the trainings.

I think the financial and sustenance part is always the hindrance and distraction.

Except if he has access to tips and feeding daily on the skill learning. Then he can fully concentrate on the learning.

I was in that world for years ... Another one is, blaming other people for why I am not moving forward .... Victim mentality.

What I finally found out was ... There are things a human being has to do before maturity into the next stage occurs, and if you don't pass those stages, you will be stuck as a child in the body of a man.

I am even happy becasue my clients are international and so if e bad for naija, e good for me.... If you are serious I would advice you to never give up ...

Please it's not to late to get a skill.
Try carpentry,welding,or baking(confectionery)
Or better still make up and photography and manicurist... those three go hand in hand

If you're asking for your friend, then your friend is not ready for life. However, if you're asking for yourself, you've made the first move in realising the need for change.

Nobody can tell you what to do. Find what you can do and start doing it.

He needs to change his mentality and move out of his comfort zone.. Growth happens only when you leave your comfort zone.
I for one grew up in the West, now in the North and can move to other parts or outside the country at any fvcking time. I have learnt a lot in my life journey never to hold too tight to anything, appreciate the little you have now and hope for better days.

No hustle is too small or too dirty as far as it is legit.. I'll salute a tiler or auto mechanic in his oil stained overall over a yahoo boy anyday. There is dignity in labour, let your friend go out and apply for job or betterstill learn a skill.
