Game day!

Praying for a positive result matched with a great performance.

I don't see us losing today but can't say if the match will end as a win or a draw.

Team needs to make sure they don't concede early in the first 20-30 minutes so the Ivorians and fans don't get extra ginger.

Backing Osimhen, Iwobi and Chukwueze to bring the fire today.

LET'S GO SUPER EAGLES!
that’s the spirit bro 🔥

Hope it's not the same match I watched. Cos what I saw was a player tried to dribble him, but couldn't. Rather the ball hit his leg and rolled to Onyeka. It was Onyeka that gave the ball back instead of booting it away first. Please don't blame Iwobi. The game is still in U tube. I have watched the match over and over again. I must say that Frank Onyeka is not a DM. He lacks positional awareness.
2) Anytime EQG attacks our final 3rd. There is always a player positioned @ the periphery of our 18 with no one close to him.
3) That Salvador was there for like 4 ever but no one spotted that he was the danger. First rudiment in defending is make sure that you are almost feeling ur opponent. Sanusi didn't do it. He was just in free space watching the man with ball.
If we repeat this shit against CIV. Fofana will load us. I watched his game play, he is always at the periphery of 18yrd box. If we continue our ball watching at the back, he will hit a lot of shots to our post. Ghana used it against us WCQ. Tunisia used it in AFCON. I will rather deploy Onyeka as B2B instead.
I did not watch the game smiley
Only saw Osimhens goal

Please don't put KC and Mbappe in the same sentence.

How many goals has KC scored in the Championship after getting huge amounts of game time. As it stands the Championship is bossing him not him bossing the championship.

He is joint 38th in the Championship with 5 goals..

Kylian Mbappe has 19 goals in the French league and he next person to him has 9.

So if I put you and Tinubu in the same sentence that means I'm equating you with Tinubu.

Iheanacho and Mbappe can score curlers. This is my statement but the bias festering in your mind like a suppurative sore has so eaten your brains out that you cannot comprehend simple statements in the context in which they are made such that to you it reads as if I am equating Iheanacho and Mbappe.

Quit being shallow minded and petty, Bro

Let's drop our possible lineups. You don't have to condemn or criticise someone's predicted lineup, just drop yours and move on.

Regardless of the set up today, I expect iheanacho to start or at least come in early in the 2nd half, he's the best finisher we have in this team presently

We need creativity, not just kick and run in the final third, hence the trio of Iheanacho, Iwobi and Lukman behind Osimhen.

Onyes should barricade the midfield, shield the defence while FBs join the attack to create spaces for Attackers to explore.

I really don't get time arguing my take(s). Simon has been useless. Awaziem has never been meaningful, always on the bench. Uzoho has been a disaster to extent every Nigerian want him off the squad.

Emeruo has been reduced to a bench-warmer, hence why do we have to keep them? We should clear them off, so solid replacement can come in for effective competition in the squad.

Aribo has been the worst player to wear No. 10 for Nigeria at all levels. No Nigerian really cares to have the Number on their Jersey again, yet folks still want him in the team?

Its not just Ahmad Musa that should leave the Squad, some of our favorites that are useless must go as well.

Since our wingers are ineffective, our only viable creative outlet is from the middle. So even a rookie coach should know what to do. Just choke our midfield. Everything will be flat. Chukwueze and Simon are flat tires.

Some Dudes kinda surprised I want Nwakali in the team. Honestly I want him on board, coz last time I saw him in GwG, he played well to deserve another call-up.

He may not be doing fine at the club level, but that doesn't mean he won't play well for the Eagles. Who knows perhaps he is the kinda player we've been craving to have in the Midfled?!

He should be given few more chance to prove himself.

Like this lineup except for 2 or 3 personnel.

Bassey for Ajayi, Aribo for Onyeka and Chukwueze for KC wouldn't want to rush Senior Man. He along with Moffi and Simon potential jokers if game is tight.

I think many people seem to have misconstrued what is going on in the Sadiq Umar case. Oma Akatugba who started the whole conversation is a Sadiq guy and they are very close so that already should let you know he is speaking for Sadiq not against him.

The allegation is that the Nigerian medical team deemed Sadiq unfit with the potential to get injured. Being the last day to change players, Peisero didn't want to gamble with it and decided to drop Sadiq and call up Onachu. So Sadiq didn't want to go and see reportedly tried to stay but the team took a different decision.

Getting back to Spain, his club doctors had a different opinion and Sadiq was training the next day and played yesterday. So this wasn't a case of an uncommitted player choosing his club over Nigeria, it's rather a case of Sadiq being denied a place in the team. It's why Oma has been dropping cryptic messages since this started as he obviously has full picture from Sadiq.

Peisero confirmed this yesterday in th press conference claiming he doesn't understand what happened as he acted on Doctors orders. The conspiracy theory is that some persons in the NFF who didn't want Sadiq used the medical team to kick him out. I really do not think that's what happened as the Nigerian medical team may just have decided to err on the side of caution, but I understand why Sadiq might feel that way. Hopefully this is investigated so it doesn't repeat itself.
Peseiro stopped Sadiq from training based on who's advice? medical team or his personal decision.

Peseiro waited for Iheanacho to be fit but can't wait for ordinary knock. It's sad that a player with a knock left camp but was fit to play for his club, meaning someone want him out, used the knock to achieve his agenda.

Do we now say NFF forced Sadiq on Peseiro or medical team don't want Sadiq abi they are holding brief for Moffi.

As you said this issue must be investigated and possible apologize to Sadiq cuz he was forced out.

My bro, they always say here that stats are not conclusive. But checking the stats from sofascore shows he is the best in the poor team. I know that it's not his fault that his team is poor but he is showing himself in the poor team even when up against the big fishes. I hope no will say that since Burnley is at the bottom of Prem league that all the players are wack.

I don't think we will have it that tough against CIV... One thing that's sure about the super eagles is that regardless of our form, we dont lose disgracefully to opponents, no matter how strong the opponent is.. and to be honest, host nation or not, CIV haven't been that impressive in the past few years despite the many talent at their disposal..

A team that can drop Zaha should not be dismissed.

. It's no fault of Sadiq,
Blame should go to the medical staffs in nigeria who ruled him out for 3weeks, only for him to get to Spain and accessed by their medical staff with result declaring he is fit and not injured..

Shame on our medical staff😐
in their defence, even at club level we’ve seen cases where players were ruled out for a very long period only to resume playing within a shorter period. These things happen

Tournaments aren't suitable for trying out untested formations. The more reason why our friendlies should see more tactical tweaks during games to give the team/coach the opportunity to have a level of tactical flexibility.

JP is stuck with 433 and it's variants throughout this tourney. The team might switch to 442 if he finds himself chasing a game.

Zaha has never been exceptional for Ivory coast, so they didn't mind dropping him... 33 games and 5 goals and no game changing or awe inspiring performance to make him invincible in the team...

Ivory Coast themselves have always been underachievers..this their current team is nowhere better than the golden generation of Drogba time...that generation still underachieved...

Sir Comodo,if we go by stats, most of our players would be in eagles camp.

What Nwakali need is average team in a good league, not even for eagles invitation but good pay rise.
