You will need to lock your sim card. To do that watch the video below:

first of all.... Nobody on earth can steal your money through bank app or ussd without your password, unless they got it from you in one way or the other without your consent⚠️

Secondly, to strengthen your protection... You can simply lock your phone and alert sim card. That way, when you loose your phone nobody can break into your phone, talkless of performing any transaction...absolutely nobody♂️

If you misplace your android phone just look for another android phone and from there you can wipe off your lost phone via goggle by entering the email you used for your goggle account. Funny thing the phone can't be used by the person unless he or she enters your email and password. It will become useless

You loose your money because you're actually DUMB, not because something is wrong with the Nigerian banking system⚠️

If you're not technically inclined, please avoid using ATM cards and nothing will happen to money if you loose your phone!!!!

But, if you're smart and technically exposed like me.... First thing you do is to lock your alert sim with a unique password, then proceed to lock with your atm cards, bank apps and ussd with passwords. To be on a safe side, you can use one long unique password for all of them, linking them to just one mobile network which you have already passworded too.

And please do not share this details with anyone, whether with a friend, family or scammers impersonating bank staffs.

That way when you loose your phone, nobody can even access your mobile line talkless of your bank account😆😆

I have lost my phone severely times and nothing happened to my bank account 💯

Pls can you share how to lock a sim card?

Leave phone at home? Unnecessary inconvenience. Its all good until network provider shows you shege on top your money

I will rather deal with the temporary inconvenience of a network issue than take the risk of having my entire life savings stolen if my SIM card falls into the hands of hackers!

To unblock it you need to get the original pack that came with your SIM; look for the PUK number that is usually written on the pack and use it to unblock it

Omo, I ignorantly activated the pin code without having my puk number or sim pack. Thank God it has been restored. I won't dare it again.

Yeah she told me she receives alerts when I transfer money.

Is there anyway to change the number you registered an account with?

I can confidently tell you
Yes, they can through ussd code
Banks don't ask for password when you are recharging into your alert sim using ussd. They believe you are the one authorizing the transactions.

which app can i use to hide appss plx

Some people just naturally lower their guards and blame everyone else but their carelessness. My bank mobile apps itself is passworded & privately hidden in my phone. To start with, I must dial my code to make the bank app visible. Before even entering the login password to access the app for use. Both my phone & my alert sim have pin lock. My online bank has hard token. I have a special account for online transactions & anything that requires my atm card.

Bros forget that thing experience they say is the best teacher, let me tell you two things that works, first rush to your service provider and block the sim, next thing rush to your bank and block every transaction from your account, take note do this two immediately. This what they do, they have a gadget they will remove your SIM card and work on it, that gadget will reach 5k 5k 5k from your account, then it can also collect loan facility from your account, to me I still see what those guys do as a mistery

Such apps are available on playstore. Just do a search & review. The one I am using is a default function on my phone security features. It only requires me to enter my personalized code in the security options and select the app I want to hide. And viola the app will disappear without trace.

In addition to the added security you mentioned, I delete any SMS revealing my bank balance and my SIM is passworded to avoid story that touches.

Kobicove:
I have partial solution to this...all my bank accounts are tied to just 1 SIM card and that SIM card is in a cheap torchlight phone which I keep at home permanently grin

An added security measure is that my SIM card is locked with a PIN code

Before you will even rush to your service provider and rush to your bank, the thief would have wipe out your Bank a/c. grin except the thief is only interested in using or selling your phone or the thief have no knowledge about hacking of bank a/c.

Encrypt your phone, enable 2fa, have a PIN on your SIM. One kobo is not getting out.

So you don’t do mobile banking ? The problem is not the SIM card you use for your bank account but mobile banking app you use for transactions can be manipulated when you loose your phone.

My formula
Always freeze your account with your mobile app unfreeze it when you wants to do transactions in this case if someone steal your phone and try to use your bank app he will not succeed
But the same app is on the phone you have lost to them, if they have access, they can unfreeze it.

Which bank did this happen?

Zenith Bank

Thank you for providing more details about the incident, i was actually thinking it was a case of online scammers⚠️

Since there was no ATM actively linked to the account, it could be of two ways:

A. Someone who is a beneficiary to that account which could be your wife boldly went to the bank, withdrew the money and covered it up.

B. Either the account officer or another bank staff decisively or collectively stole the money.

Now if you sue that bank and they later find out that it was the case of option A, the bank could demand for damages and you will be in hot soup!!

But if it's the case of option B, you can actually recover your money and more if you win them in court.

So you need to be sure of what you are doing to avoid regrets sir.

If you trust your wife💯 and you're sure she's not involved.... Then you can consult a good SAN to begin a legal proceedings against that bank.

Taking them to court is the only way to recover your money 💭

Can you please recommend any SAN you know personally that we can use as I currently don't have any.

Please help me Bro.
