I commend our security agencies in Oyo State who have been maintaining law and order in around Bodija this week as well as residents who have been complying with directives from these officers.

Yesterday, the medical team at the Emergency Operations Centre and the Honourable Commissioner for Health, visited two of the hospitals where victims from the incident were taken and over 90% of the victims have been discharged. The death toll from the incident currently stands at five persons.

The clinical psychologist has commenced counselling for victims of the incident at the Emergency Operations Centre in Ibadan.

The operations at Ground Zero have moved from search and rescue to recovery. Let me use this opportunity to thank the Nigerian Society of Engineers who have been carrying out structural integrity tests on about 230 properties around the site of the explosion; 13 houses within 50 metres radius of the blast site, 40 houses at 100 metres radius; 122 houses at 200 metres radius and 53 houses within a 250 metres radius.

We are also grateful to my brother, Governor @jidesanwoolu for releasing the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) to support us, and for the assistance offered by the team led by Engineer Olatunde Akinsanya, the Director of Operations.

The security agencies are still investigating the incident and an update on their investigation will be publicised.

Our administration remains committed to supporting all victims of this unfortunate incident and ensuring that everyone responsible is brought to book.

Please contact the Emergency Operations Centre on 07049948057 or 08147672009 for any issues related to the Bodija Incident.

This is commendable.

They use to say "the young shall grow". But now the young has grown up and still developing. Lagos is now acting like a big brother in the west, I pray my Ekiti and other states in west develop soon.
God bless Nigeria.

When the unfortunate military mishap happened in Kaduna, the senate moved it and donated their salaries to the victims, politicians turned that area to Mecca for visit but the Ibadan blast received no attention by the South West elites, religious leaders and politicians.

The reason for the neglect is vote mobilization during elections. Politicians know that northern voters are easy to mobilize during elections but the south westerners will be indoor watching TV or forming warriors on social media on Election Day.

Lesson from this is that we south westerners are lions on political issue on paper but absentees in real electoral issues.

The true picture of what happened in Bodija will be exposed in the next 2year. We will know the real picture. That's what happened in Zamfara state when the bandit started to kill people in the village, later we saw the true picture of GOLD Mining.

South West is One....

Lagos Osun Ondo Ibadan Èkìtì Ogun Kwara

We are all one.. That is why you can't say the state of origin of a Yoruba man even in govt positions because we are all one...

We can rule in any state as long as we share the same heritage and culture.... There is no first class or 2nd class amongst us.. A Yoruba man is a Yoruba man..

Thank you Lagos for helping the capital of South West... Ibadan

Lagos is supposed to remain the federal capital territory, not Abuja undecided..

Foreigners always know about Lagos than even the so-called Abuja FCT undecided..

Kudos to Sanwoolu and Lagos state government for the swift response...

Negligence aka I don't care attitude/character is killing the development of the Nation.

If all this incentives are put place and properly managed. This would have gone a long way.

May God forgive us all.

I knew a Nigerian somewhere would find a way to bring tribe and politics into this unfortunate incidence.

Q:How many people died in the Bodija mishap?
How many died in the North?
Now do your maths and take a look at your self in the mirror.
Thats is a tribal bigot standing in front of you

That you feel that visits from politicians is of much more importance than what, FEMA, LASEMA and Oyo state government is doing already show you lack understanding of the realities on ground and lack knowledge of what is expedient at the moment.
Will the politicians be structural engineers, do they have experience in search and rescue?

The response to the unfortunate Kaduna incident was due to the fact the Nigerian Army bombed innocent victims. The Ibadan case was not caused by Nigerian Security.
