They have turned on their own brothers and sisters. This is the dividend of the insecurity they created to discredit Jonathan. It is now coming back home to roost. |

ddippset:My brother leaders character defer. If Buhari hadn’t been the president for example security wouldn’t have worsened like this. Let me show u two peculiar characters of Buhari that worsened insecurity that other leaders may well not have exuded: - He romanced herd men bad bandit. He thought they are is people and he was hesitant about going al out on them. Others like Obi or Atiku do not share this sentiments. -he bastardized our economy. He was a dunce and didn’t have much control of his government. Atiku for example wouldn’t have performed that badly because Atiku is a businessman, he is more cosmopolitan and modern even with internet and modern requirements than Buhari. So leaders matter. Different leaders produce different realities |

ddippset: As a matter of principle I hardly quote people but I just wanted to correct the bolded. Anyone with an inkling of how security works will know that all that's needed for the security architecture to improve is just change of political structure. These organized crimes are continuing because having been entrenched in former APC government the perpetrators knew the incoming government will be "business as usual" because they have cased and knew the security system. Nigerians missed it when they allowed the APC government to continue. There's a reason everywhere in the world once a government fails it's responsibilities they will be voted out, not because they hate the personnels involve but because they knew they have to be a change in the way things are going. Frankly, it doesn't matter the party that had entered. They would have changed the entire security apparatus, strategy, personnels and entire structure and that would have given the "wicked syndicates" perpetrating all these crimes a push back to study ways to exploit it which will enable the government to fight it head on. Have you ever heard any prosecution against all these bandits? As long as the government never made a mince meat out of anyone, it will continue because it showed lack of will power, 66,000 Nigerians were killed in cold blood during Buhari 8 years and you think it's off chance. Do you know what is 66,000 citizens dying just like that? Trust me it WILL NEVER happen in a third world countries not at war let alone civilized nations. The only way this will stop is to vote out APC and I am just been magnanimous with the assertion because there's no light at the end of tunnel the way things are right now. It will die down when the cries becomes much and resume again when it dies down and the victims loved ones are allowed to bear the brunt of Nigeria happening to them, it continues cyclical maybe till it touches everyone. Let people shun sentiments and primordial biases and fight for the good of this nation but as long as the politician keeps dividing people with tribes and religion, these consequences are always bound to be the outcome. 1 Like 1 Share |

TemmyT002:Inexperienced police. I was once in a road ongoing robbery scene. I parked at a distance when I heard gunshots and a vehicle ahead offed it's headlight suddenly. The army soldiers came and offed their headlamps and spread and were walking and squatting. My friend and I were already lying down flat behind a wild thorn and watching from afar as the army progressed further. Crazy experience, my body itched me for a week 1 Like |

This is a chilling and horrifying episode, it's terrible that things like this happens and the criminals get away with it easily |

Nigeria Police should do more in their training, the idea of rushing to crime scene without knowing the nature of the crime is totally unprofessional. |

See people saying all sorts of nonsense. Evidently the police were uninformed and had poor intel. They came in probably thinking they were coming to tackle mere robbers not many bandits armed to the teeth. This changes the scenario in a lot of ways. I actually commend the response time for them to show up when the criminals were still in the area. The brother driving in front of the police was bad but I understand he was leading them as he knew the way. He must have planned to park, point out the house and let the police position themselves not knowing the bandits were already out on the streets, in the dark. Someone also says you should not call security but trust in God. Do you know how many times the arrival of security has forced robbers to abandon their mission and drop all stolen items as they run for their lives? God won't come down to save you in situations like that, deploy your resources to help yourself. Call anyone who can be of help, shout to alert neighbors, reinforce your doors and windows with furniture and any thing to delay their entry into your home. May God protect us. 1 Like |

Have you ever see a bokoharam Yoruba man or a isik Yoruba man even though we have high percentage of Muslims?. Have your ever heard we kill each other because of religious war before or we kill other tribes because of religious violence before?. Lagos that have AGbero is the most secure state in Nigeria. Bandit was cause by other guys that love power not us. Your tribe are trooping in to lagos every night because of work but we never complain even though we know that you hate us |

ddippset: I tried to ignore this your comment, I tried but I just have to reply you, the guy's comment was quite insensitive but most of yours does not make sense too(Sorry to say), I'm going to highlight each of them.... Nigeria's, security issues are so deep that we do not have the capacity to confront any determined armed struggle now, and in the near future. This your statement is very wrong, if only you know the rot in the system that is enabled by the present and recently past government in the security architecture of this country, you will know that your statement is completely wrong, the government is not sincere about the fight on terrorsim, the military leaders have all turned insecurity in Nigeria to blood money, I don't want to talk much here, but the evidence is in various probes of top military generals with unexplained wealth... So there is no guarantee that such wouldn't have happened in an Obi or an Atiku presidency. Listen to yourself, if Tinubu reads this comment here, he will feel relaxed that "oh the people even feel comfortable that no human being can do better than him" The question I ask people like you is, if nobody can solve Nigeria's problems or if we accept that each successive leader or administration will be worse than the previous one, then why do we have a country in the first place? Why do we have a government? Why are we doing elections? If the country will never get better regardless of who we vote, then why do we have country? This is like a company that constantly makes loss regardless of who heads it, the best thing is to shut it down... So if you claim nobody would do better than Tinubu, then you are saying Tinubu is smartest person we have in Nigeria? this is like saying because Tinubu failed an exam then nobody else can pass it even when you have not even tried them and judge them based on Tinubu' s performance.... So just sympathize and move the hell on. Though the guy's statement was quite insensitive but this your statement here no be am at all, you are saying sympathize and move on without calling out the government, then everybody should sympathize and move on and wait for the next victims to sympathize with, then why do we have a government? What is the primary purpose of having a government? To just claim we have a government? The difference between most developed countries and countries like ours is that the people there hold their government accountable for everything the government is supposed to do for them. Look at southern Kaduna, Plateau and so on, indirectly the government keeps telling them to count their losses and move on, each time people are killed they only release press statement and call for calm and that is where it ends,i.e we sympathize with you, please just count your loss and move till the next one happens again and the cycle continues... I don't want to go into the election matter now, the elections are over but the consequences of the election are not over and might last for the next 4 or 8 years, so if you see any person angry about the election don't just blame him, he is feeling the consequences of the election and might feel it for the next 4 or 8 years. I'm not justifying the guy's comment(his choice of words were not ok) but most part of your reply did not just make sense( the ones I highlighted, very sorry to say). 1 Like 1 Share |
