Maybe you are managing her poorly. There's no way you'll provide a better alternative for her and she prefers denting the wall. Don't give a child room to be doing rubbish because you love them.

The guy might be right, though. Some landlords/ladies can be very mischievous.

I moved into an apartment in May last year, the landlady knew that she was going to put the property up for sale but still collected one year rent money from me.

The house was in a sorry state, as though it hasn't been repainted since it was built. I spent more than 200k in painting the house, cuz I went for silk for the inside. I painted both in and out, including doors, burglaries, anything that was 'paintable', I painted it.

Only for the landlady to give me a letter, after 5 months of staying in the house, that the property was sold and everyone were given 6 months to move out, that she would pay me the balance of my rent.

I was so upset at the time. But as time went on I got over it and took it as a lesson.
