For the umpteenth time, Nigerians, again woke up today to the continued reports of highly condemnable acts of violence reoccurring across our nation.

First was the reported killing of about 30 persons in Plateau State, and secondly, the gruesome killing of husband and wife in Anambra State, whose bodies were left in the boot of their vehicle by the roadside, among many other violent crimes that go unreported in our nation.

While condemning these dastardly and despicable acts in totality, one wonders when we will wake up to the news of this insecurity that has continued to undermine the peace and progress of our country being curtailed. This constant loss of precious lives to insecurity demands that more concerted efforts be taken to end the menace.

I continue to appeal to all of us the leaders, especially those in office, and the security agencies, to strive harder to unravel and bring the perpetrators of these crimes to book, and continue to make efforts to rid society of crime and violence.

I condole with the affected families who have lost their loved ones to the raging insecurity in the country while praying to God to grant eternal rest to the dead. These are very difficult times in our country, but we must conquer this monster of insecurity to be able to enjoy the New Nigeria of our dreams. -PO

Obi is just too vibrant. Doesn't Nigeria need someone who acts peremptorily, who takes action promptly? Maybe there could be change to the Nigerian story? Maybe - just maybe - things could change a little for the better. But I fear that Nigerians so much love their poverty and hardship. We are not yet ready for change! That's the sad truth.

Human lives in Nigeria is like animal's. It's easier to stay alive in Gaza or Ukraine than in Nigeria.

The man who genuinely cares. When a leader is genuinely voted into power, he cares about his people and wouldn't let them down for putting him on that seat.

But when a leader finds his way there through the back door, he doesn't give a damn. If you like sleep on empty stomach or you get displaced from your homes. I listened to that plateau man exposing the complicity of law enforcement agents in the killings of his people I almost shed tears. The day we shun tribalism and bigotry of sort in Nigeria, is when we'd be truly ready to develop Nigeria.

If criminals and evil perpetrators in our society are being made to face the wrath of law in line with offences and crimes committed crime rate would've been on a decline but instead we politicize and ethnicize almost everything in our nation.

Sad times in our country.
Tinubu and his security Chiefs need to step up.
Propaganda does not run a government. They ought to have figured that out by now.
