Well, we don’t know the full details of the proposed stadium: whether it would have shopping spaces, as we see in some other countries. If it comes with shops, then I won’t criticize this project cos the governor would be further enabling commerce in the state.
How many times them dey use stadium?
Nor be who get purchasing power go use am?
What's the state of Nigerian local football?

Wooh I hope this story is a joke

Is it possible that money is being printed and used to buy fx to hoard?
Because I don't understand why we have this much cash in circulation when we are trying to fight fx.

I visited a Health centre in one of the interior villaages of Ebonyi. It was built by USAID

If you see the condition of this place, you will know we are mad in this country. Everything was left to deteriorate.

I won't be surprised at all

Because I remember this December, there wasn't money in some places and yet we hit this record high so its obvious that someone printed money, mopped it up and used it to buy fx to destroy the naira.

Unless someone else has a better idea

Wawu.
So why not just give these places to the community or like Peter Obi did, hand it to the church to run.

Because it seems our government was cursed with waste

I expected it. If you have followed the trend since Tinubu came on board, once they notice the dollar is spiralling out of control, CBN starts coming out with one press release and one circular or the other.

Impatient people who bought high will panic sell to cut their losses. When it becomes obvious it's all hot air, naira will continue the journey downwards.

Remember when they initially came on board and they said they were getting dollar from afrexim and will flood the market, people started selling and it fell below 800.

It's just the same cycle all over again. I'm not sure anyone is pumping and dumping.

Na why I tell am say godfathers Don dey different parts of the country tey tey.

I watched a clip of Adedibu saying a whole sitting president and party leader OBJ begged on behalf of Ladoja'(a governor He installed),but Adedibu no gree. He said Ladoja was done and that was it!

Adedibu was everything Wike is trying to become today and more.
Adedibu said imagine o, he was only asking Ladoja to give him only 25% of the state’s security vote but Ladoja refused.
Just 25% pere. Is that too much? That people can now see that Ladoja is the one at fault.

What do u think is responsible for all these?

Is it tribal politics?
Is it low literacy level in the state?
Is it non-challancy of the educated elite?
Or is it that the state was never designed to develop?
Generally, people from Southern states tend to hold governments at the three levels accountable than their Northern counterparts.

Historically, there was a time when being a ferocious critic of the state government, for example, in Lagos under Tinubu, Akwa Ibom in Akpabio's first tenure, Abia under OUK, Enugu under Nnamani, and Ogun under OGD was relatively dangerous, but I think it's abated. Actually, it has.

Southern states went through the phase Reccy is mentioning in terms of repercussions for vehement state government criticism. The relative ease and freedom to criticize these Southern state governments now was earned through tears and blood.

The best schools and hospitals in this country are still significantly run by the church. For all of the criticism the church gets, management isn't its flaw.

I think like Reccy later added, religious dogma and maybe culture plays an important role in the way the north seems receptive of bad governance and not challenging the status quo when it comes to politics/leadership.

In the south u have irreligious people and liberally religious people in abundance. The irreligious people are not subservient to any religious dogma and will express their mind when they feel any leader is messing up. The liberals also raise eyebrows when their religion asks them to follow and obey the leaders sheepishly. And yes the south also have people who are seriously religious, but they are diluted by the aforementioned 2 groups which kinda give things a balance.

On the other hand, the north has mostly religious people who belong to the Christian and Muslim faith. Some part of each religion encourages u to obey and follow the leader. The Christian faith encourages u to pray for ur leaders (Some of the leaders know this and they milk it well; they will keep soliciting the people's prayer while they deliberately continue to misgovern)

The guy worry.

He now ended the interview by saying he doesn’t even want the percentage again. That Ladoja should just be going.

Yeah, His strongman was both in violence and grassroots. He was known to be philantropic so he has the backing of the common man. If una come say his grassroots base is not enough for u, he will use violence by activating his boys to scatter everywhere.

My dad used to tell us stories about how strong the man was in local politics

I am tempted to believe that the number of guns in the hands of bandits, herdsmen, kidnappers and other criminals in this country far exceeds those in the hands of our security forces.

I mean how do they keep going around killing people every now and then?
