those cashless gifts and promises won't encourage the players are a double edged sword,it can encourage your players to perform well,it can also pile up pressure in players, and what happens when players are tense and nervous...mistakes, mishaps and missteps.

Same thing with inaudating your stadium with all your supporters, your supporters cheering you as you play, can encourage you and boost your confidence but it can also crush you, especially when you concede first and all your cheering supporters goes silent,it can crush the confidence of the playing team, that why home teams when they fall they usually fall flat, remember Brazil 7-1 defeat, the pressure was too much, Brazil would not concede 7 goals on a normal day, same with ivory coast 4-1 lost.

That why promising your players money b4 a big game can work but most times it a bad idea,it just pile pressure on the players, the players have been doing well allow them build their momentum themselves.if you wanna promise them money it is b4 the tournament starts not when you have a big game
True... you nailed it bro. Well, it is to our advantage.

One thing wey dey sweet my bele about this AFCON is the fact that Nigeria doesn’t play soft anymore. Omo the way we play with muscle these days like an EPL side dey sweet me. Imagine us bullying Ivory Coast and Cameroon in muscle plays. Even Semi Ajayi sef dun dey brutal with tackles and aerial battles. Na only Iwobi wey dey soft, others are ready to unalive an opponent 😂🤣😂🤣

Jordan scored 24 points vs the Hawks yesterday. Also grabbed 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal.

Jordan just went off for 17 points vs the Bulls and he only took 7 shots shocked someone told me that teams are not playing him because they don't want to end up paying him what he is really worth. The guy can at the least be a starter in the NBA, I mean just look at this performance against the Hawks.

lies. Based on current form, we haven't really played any strong team except for ivory coast who pressed us but couldnt breach our defence. Angola will be our strongest opponent.

grin this is really laughable

The thing dey sweet me, and this is how I want us to approach every match. Bully the hell out of your opponents. This is how Ghana plays against us. They are always ready to send a player to the hospital. One player who is naturally that rugged against our opponents is Awaziem.

That “wait and knack”is Etebo football and I don’t want that. That is unnecessary gara-gara. What I mean is some intelligent physical bullying the way Keshi, Amokachi, Uche Okechukwu etc were doing it back then. Intense hustle(muscle) and speed. As in, put body for ball. Give them war.

In addition, we've played stronger oppositions than the Angolans in this tournament, and you're right their defence is suspect, if the Namibians were a bit clinical they would have conceded two goals against them, I watched that game.

All facts. The fact the namibians could not capitalize on that red card is enough to understand that game. Then it became 10v10. The fear of Osimhen should be their major concern. Especially with how we go long.

that's the problem with South Africa, one win they will just assume they can beat everybody, even we no dey too make noise like that. When they lose you now see them venting anger against the entire continent. Funny people

What's making them hyped is the caf club success. SA clubs have been successful especially against North Africa clubs. Now they feel it translates to this Afcon just like their women did at wafcon. They should better sit and relax, do what's necessary. Na dem get studio sha so...

That’s why I laugh when someone here say we have not played stronger opponents, we all thought Equitorial Guinea was soft until they walloped both Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau. It has taken Guinea a team who beat us just before Afcon to send a stubborn Equitorial Guinea out.

Asides the stated point, thing is he's not a 2 way player. Most of the commentaries I have read online says his defence is the reason he's starts on the bench. I think with the Raptors he gets the chance to build with a team that isn't likely to make the playoffs. Funny thing is they wanted to draft him in 2020, now they get a chance to really use him if they choose to and grow with him.

And this was after EG missed a penalty and had a man sent off.

The SE have been in battles in this AFCON. Praying and hoping we win more to claim the ultimate prize.

Very few people will learn how to judge other countries here. Very eye opening AFCON for me.
