I have a nagging issue with overheating on my Lexus es300, it overheated and mechanic worked on it but then I carelessly forgot to close the cover when topping water and it overheated again.

Luckily I noticed the temperature and shut the engine on time, mechanic came, check it and said everything was okay and topped the water. wahala now is notice the coolant reserve boiling steaming hot when I after like 40 minutes of driving with the AC.

The water returns back to the reserve with the temptature needle still in the middle also.

What can do to fix this?
Pressure test the cooling system to know what's faulty.

Hello guys, when I match the brake pedal, an additional sound comes up, but which also goes once I release the brake pedal. What could be the cause, please? The car is Ford Focus 2009.

Can anyone here help me to buy my car AC Evaporator please? I can't find it in my city and I don't stay in Lagos. I can send you both the video and pictures of the unit.

You'll need a technician with a cooling system pressure tester to carry out the test.

Remote diagnosis for the brake sound would be practically impossible unless maybe you send a video.
Where's your location?
Kindly call 07089030689 for further assistance.

Good morning.
I have Toyota corolla S, 2005. Automatic Transmission. I noticed the driver side brake disk is usually very hot, compare to the passenger side. (by pouring water, the driver side brake disk will sound as if u are frying plantain grin ) . my first mechanic told me the caliper is faulty. Hence i bought a BELGIUM Caliper, that didn't solve the issue. He now said, lets change master break. That it could be faulty. I bought New master brake, it didn't solve the issue. I also bought quality brake pad, still it didn't solve the issue(HE WAS DOING TRIAL AND ERROR -making me to spend money unnecessarily). So, i decided to visit another mechanic and via personal research online i discovered that bad rotors can make disk to be hot. i changed that specific side of the rotor, still it gets hot compare to the passenger side which is barely hot(Though the squeaking, squealing, and grinding sound stopped). what do you think could be the problem for the hotness. pls NOTE The following things that i replaced: 1. Caliper, 2. Brake pad, 3. Master Break, 4. Rotor.

The affected wheel is the closest wheel to the brak master. If you've changed all what you've listed and the problem still persist then the issues are likely elsewhere.
Kazeems are known to add extra layers of rubber and cloth materials in the rod that depressess the brake master when you step on the brakes. This reduces travel time on the pedal but creates unnecessary pressure in the brake line even with your foot off the pedal.
They are also known to adjust the brake pedals abnormally for same reasons.
Check your brake pedal and master for any foreign materials. Take them out if there is any.
You should also properly bleed the brake system (ABS inclusive if your car has one) as it can cause same issues.

Recheck the caliper, the brake piston in it might be rusty....

It has been checked. One guy at APO mechanic village, Abuja checked and service it very well. so, that one is smooth.

At this point remote diagnosis would be impossible. Your brake system (with ABS delete) is not rocket science for it to be difficult to diagnose and fix.
I'd suggest you look for a competent mechanic in Abuja to help with it.

Check your wheel bearings

Faulty wheel bearings can also generate such heat

Did it stop overheating after the mechanic fixed it? My guess is it didn’t. If both your fans are working, then I’m almost certain your heater core is clogged and water isn’t passing through for cooling. Try turning on the heater in your car, if the heater is working then it must be something else. If not, that’s the problem. What most Nigerian mechanics will typically do is to change the radiator to a bigger cell for more water volume.
The ideal thing is to flush the clog with a radiator flush, and then drain the coolant twice using water with the heater turned on. Then filling the radiator with fresh coolant or water(9ja way). This will fix it permanently.

Thanks, they connected the both fans to start again the same time washed the radiator.

So far non issues yet.

Still observing.

Hello Gurus in the house, I'm planning of upgrading my Corolla with this new aftermarket steering wheel and android audio. The installer claims the steering wheel comes with its own air-bag. Is it advisable or should I just stick with my old steering wheels.

The airbag light on the dash has always been on, I'm suspecting the clockspring might be bad.

You do not have functional airbag at the moment, so the worst that could happen if the aftermarket doesn't have airbag is that you continue as before, and if it does have airbag, it will be and increase in the safety level of your car.

Check condition of the air filter and replace if dirty, also have the MAF cleaned with spray.

Good evening

So I've been having an issue with stiff steering while decelerating and some squeaky sounds when I turn either ways. I went to Oyingbo to get it checked and was told PS pump was faulty and the hose leaking.
I've changed PS pump (bought a new one) and the issue still stands.
Today i went again and this time I changed steering rack, bushings and stabilizer linkage all according to the mechs. Issue is still there. Infact, it's worse off.
I'm livid!!!

Car is a Toyota Camry 06. Who can help?
Re: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by Angrigowt: 2:25pm On Feb 04
Does it make a humming ..buzzing loud spund as if you are on top speed. The steering pump they replaced was scrap. Stop wasting money on parts u dont need. Go back there and tell the idiots to loose the useless pump they installed and find direct toks. Not scrap naija used.linkage and stabilizer do ream work with ball joint. Has no relationship with power steering. Bushings alsosame thing. U just dey waste money
