In this life, getting things done early always gives you the most options and flexibility.

Same thing for football. Take your chances and go 3-0 before HT and you can now start subbing in different players to get game time.

In WCQ, there are 10 games to play, if you focus on winning all your games from MD1, by MD7 you can realistically have qualified for the WC

If not for our defence's solid performances, people would have been forced to ask Victor Osimhen some very frank questions.

Some people make it look as if the SE was struggling to score goals before Osimhen came on the scene and improved our goalscoring prowess.

In reality, the reverse has been the case. Ighalo played with this same team in AFCON 2019 and won the Golden ball. Osimhen took charge and gave us only one goal in five matches plus plenty of offsides and big chances squandered. Same team o.

The only thing saving him is that our defence is pulling us to the finish line. Any day the defence stops working, Nigerians will analyze Osimhen without emotions.

Nope

Tbh, I even predicted the SE to leave in the group stages

But think about it. Do you think osimhen would've scored that lookman's goal against Angola?

He would be too eager and would baloon it over the top bar. I've noticed that about him

Hustle can I ly take you to a certain point and after that m, as a striker you would need to be clinical. If he does this nonsense in the PL, he would be benched after 2 games irrespective of how much was spent to buy him. He is even a black man again and they won't have as much patience. Ask nunes that's even south American.

You people should talk true.nobody will shoot you. Odimhen has been wack this tourney. Even Gift orban will score most of those chances he missed you can't tell me that KC Nacho isn't a better finisher or doesn't have better most off the ball

You people should remove sentiments. SA game is one where the SE can't afford to miss chances . Their defence is equally disciplined.no wahala. Na here we dey

I don't know why people go haywire when you give a constructive feedback. It's the inability to think clearly and that is some form of mental problem

Benching Osimhen would make Nigeria actually win comfortably

I am not really sure but he has really struggled to score. KC or Moffi need to be given a chance. I wasn't impressed with Osimhen, especially in the last game. He lost the ball almost every single time

You , again! What do you mean by ungrateful? Is Osimhen paying anybody's bills?? Osimhen should be grateful for getting the opportunity to play for his country. This is a boy who was a hawker.

Nigeria made Osimhen not the other way around. Again, Osimhen needs to up his game. He has been poor in front of goal and his ball control needs serious work

with this, I don't need to reply him again

Nigerians should be grateful

Was it not the same Nigeria that gave Osimhen the platform to shine as a teenager?

Some of una sef??

Na here we dey when some people dey single out Zaidu (A defender for that matter) say him no get end product

How many chances has your favorite striker converted?

Zaidu is first a defender and I won't mind as long as he does his defensive duties excellently. Other attacking attributes are secondary to his position but you see the no 9 you guys are parading as the best in the world, how many chances has he converted? Isn't he a striker?

Let us stop this nonsense favoritism. The same people who will insult Zaidu for missing that goal against Angola would make stupid and silly excuses for Osimhen if he missed the same chance. Y'all hypocrisy here stinks

I think it's the harshness and very stressful Nigerian system that makes the people behave Abnormally. It's a peasant mindset. They dont believe they deserve better!

We have never lost to South Africa in an AFCON knock out stage, however, we have never won the match after. Are we going to rewrite history? If Yes! Which one?
Marjoribanks:
Ekong has lost every Semi finals he has participated in for Nigeria.

It's time to rewrite history!

Going by what happened in South Africa's match yesterday, Zaidu and Bassey need to be prepared to work their socks off on Wednesday.

The South Africans made significant use of that particular wing to make quick one-twos and could have scored a couple of goals if they were more prolific.

Oga no no....Osimhen right now is not happy, just a goal to get his mojo back and getting that goal against South Africa would be perfectly for him.....all he needs to do is to calm down and do it with ease.

I saw a camp clip after Angola match,he looked dejected and Iwobi wrapped his hands around him.

Osimhen is a fighter and if you believe he is happy so far with his performance then you are wrong.

that would be the wrong wing to use against us. Even if there’s any wing they can use in the first place.

Nobody is getting past Bassey.
Zaidu can’t cross ball, accepted. He is A1 in marking.

Nothing for South Africa. Absolutely nothing.

If the game drag's on until penalty shootout,. (I don't see that happening tho) I believe we're good.

Nwabali is a fantastic shot stopper when it comes to penalties. He's been doing the business since his time at Go round FC of Omoku. He was my cousins team mate.

It's more disgusting considering he's been treated this way after signing an extension he didn't need to sign just to ensure the club makes significant money on him.

If he hadn't signed the extension, he will have one year left on his contract and Napoli will be forced to sell him at significantly less or lose him for free next summer if they keep him.

Although, osimehn was showing lack of respect to Napoli in the past few months while Napoli initially disrespected him and didn’t apologize. The way he has been missing easy chances, if I was him na PSG I go go straight. England no get patience
