MzansiCoolio:There are intelligence units in the embassies /high commissions. He laid the foundation for the advisory, and it would be dereliction of duty not to forewarn those he represents there. So, he has done his job well. For the Nigerians in SA, "a word is enough for the wise." |

Vision101:The tensions go back decades to as far as the Mbeki years in 2008. Nigeria is trying to smear SA. I hope our foreign ministry blasts them. |

Spybradd:Mr man, you don't know the level of crime and lawlessness in South Africa. A friend was robbed at gunpoint by a policeman, yes policeman, right there in the toilet at Johannesburg airport on his way back to Nigeria after attending a conference in Pretoria. In another incident, a man arriving from Nigeria at the same airport was trailed to the reception of the hotel in Johannesburg and murdered. So, the Nigeria high commission is in order - to be forewarned is to be forearmed. |

lexy2014:When compared to South Africans in Nigeria, then that is too much ![]() It is estimated that over 30k Nigerians live in South Africa, we know there are more undocumented. Now compare that to South Africans in Nigeria, that is much. |

writeprof:Intelligence based on frying jollof or showing you pepper? That's just banter based on well-known Nigerian stereotypes. Anyway, he did SA towns and cities a favour by limiting the chaos and litter that often follows Nigerian celebrations of any kind. |

@IronGalaxy It's such an insult. How many times have we played Zimbabwe for example? Have we never lost against them? How many Zimbabweans reside in SA? What has ever happened to them when they win? @me Low-key SA citizens are not envious of Zimbs but they are of Nigerians. They don't know how much resources and sacrifices that Nigeria made to give them the freedom that they have today. |

IronGalaxy:if you know that the answer is on the internet, why didnt you answer the simple question? when you say "Nigerians too much for South Africa", can you give me the population of Nigerians living in South Africa that makes them "too much"? |
| Re: AFCON: Nigeria High Commission Issues Advisory To Nigerians In South Africa by lexy2014: 9:07am On Feb 06, 2024 |
Princedapace:I didnt ask you to compare neither did you make any comparison in your initial comment when you said "Nigerians too much for South Africa". I also did not ask for an estimate. since you claim that "Nigerians too much for South Africa", then kindly tell me the population of Nigerians living in South Africa? if you claim that there are 30,000 nigerians living in south africa, how then did you arrive at your conclusion that "Nigerians too much for South Africa"? |

Vision101:Typical self-flattery and empty chest beating. An average South African views Nigerians with suspicion...These are facts unfortunately, there's nothing to be jealous of you people, you have no manners, you're boisterous and arrogant. Many people can't stand you and your unscrupulous behaviour |

I wonder why Nigerians are still living in that shit hole with violent criminals. At least criminals you are running from in Nigeria won't kill over silly things like football. |

Vision101:On point. In the 1970s the federal government forced civil servants to donate part of their salaries towards the liberation of South Africa. There were also large numbers of South Africans studying in Nigerian universities on full federal government scholarship. Other African countries also helped South Africans. At one point Tanzania, then classified as one of the poorest countries in the world, was hosting millions of South African refugees fleeing apartheid. |
