I know Osimhen should start. But I wonder why Peseiro can't do us a favor and bring in Moffi by the 75th minute when Osimhen is tired.

OGN reports Zaidu to be dropped "due to injury" grin. Aina to be played on the left and Osayi-Samuel on the right.

Guys, abeg how una see this one? I would have preferred a natural left footer on that LWB spot so our quality crosses can be assured. And Osayi hasn't really convinced me in this tournament o.

E be like u get personal beef with am. What do you mean sick? He's not that bad na

He runs commentary as though he is still learning the trade. I understand he held N office under the Buhari administration as an adviser to the president on sport-related affairs. I believe he is a good lobbyist. For commentators, there are many Nigerians who could do it better to the ears of the listener. This is not a political affair where incompetence and subpar performance are celebrated.

Which kain mistake be this one? Aina himself should tell the coach to put him on the right, if he messes up today's game I will not spare him any tongue-lashing and invective remarks. He was jittery when he played against Guinea-Bissau on that wing. I hope he is able to cope even though he plays on the left for Nottingham forest.

God gives grace to the humble.

That's what I have been trying to preach

I see a lot of infantile comments underestimating the South Africans

Regardless of what happened in the Group stages, getting to the Semis of the AFCON especially this AFCON is no joke

We have the upper hand but it will be dangerous to completely write them off

Do what you will concerning this opinion

The difference between quality outstanding top players and good is one main word CONSISTENCY.

The ability to perform at high level week in week out over the course of several seasons.

When you don't you get dropped.

What you see is players from backwater leagues playing at the very best they can or have ever had. But to do it with CONSISTENCY that's the problem.

South Africa will get beaten by Nigeria comprehensively.

Fact!!

Although factors such as competition or preference by a particular manager takes hold as well, not matter the consistency. We see Managers like Mourinho and Emery do this regularly. I think there was a player that even said if Mou drops you, it's not because you're not good enough or consistent. It's just his thinking.

That one dey to.

We'll probably see a 4-1 like we did Mali in 2013. We didn't even expect that scoreline, but it happened. South African tricks like Angola? I don't see. Only that freekick Mokoena. Dazall.

Quality players can be in a backwater league. We seem to forget that a player's career is like a ladder to the top with stairwells and shortcuts and an elevator nearby. The bottomline is some are too good for the league they're in but can't attract bigger interests because what they do may be basic or no different. Some take a league by storm and get a chance at the elevator but will be smart to use the stairwell(Orban for example)

Some will be stagnant in backwater riding on old glory and won't mind moving.

Some will get their lucky break close to the end of their prime and still use Elevator.

Some are good enough to fill up quota. Some just chase the bag mainly.

Backwater leagues can contain excellent ballers but for time

Great leagues can contain prime otu and nonsense ballers despite exposure to all that technicality and sound managers.

This thing is not 2+2 always. I see it as norms and exceptions.

The main thing is just prove yourself consistently till your signature is craved by more than 1 teams at the top of ladder, stairwell or elevator. Else, na OYO.

They are not good enough πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

So it will be Aina at LWB and Osayi at RWB!

Aina is an upgrade on Zaidu at LWB no matter how we look at it!

And Osayi is close to Aina as a RWB!

Paserio listens! I like this so much!!

Let's go Super Eagllesss!!

Aina-Simon!
Osayi-Lookman!
Mouth watering!!

Marjoribanks:
We are beginning to get our combination play together.

Remember, this is Lookman, Osimhen and Simon first AFCON together.

My only problem is Sanusi! He just can't make the right decisions in vital areas.

I wish Bassey can be pushed up and Omeruo playing the LCB role.

With Bassey at LWB, we will dismantle SA 4 nil.

With Sanusi there, we will win 2 nil.

DRC will win Ivory Coast on penalties!

Let's gooo! Super Eagles!

We should just take out chances SA are coming into the game to defend

Once we are able to convert our chances we are done with Dem

An early goal means we get more plenty goals

Maybe because he has not played a single match at the AFCON.

I would have preferred him. tbh.

Nevertheless, I do think Aina and osayi are solid options! Both can actually dribble too!

Osimhen with only one leg is ten times better than Moffi as far as the national team is concerned. Your man Moffi should raise his game if he wants to be ever invited.

Osimhen can play 120 minutes if required. Football is not choir rendition where you say so and so should perform for certain amount of time.

You've been in this group for a long time but with the way you are letting parochial sentiment consume you, one would think you know very little about football.

Feel kinda bad for Bruno why take him along to AFCON if you don't trust him?

Little concern I have is if Osayi is defensively disciplined enough to cover for Ajayi who is slightly the weakest of our CB.
