He was never going to miss. Check his track record of taking the decisive penalties. He never misses.

4 players I was sure would convert all converted. Moffi, Omeruo, Ekong and Iheanacho.

Moffi especially is a monster from spot kicks. A much better PK taker than Osimhen. Osimhen too knows this. But Osimhen remains the better all round striker.

I never knew omeruo was good with penalties oooo

His pk was ice cold 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yusuf is a DM/CM and DM's are trained to take short and accurate passes.

In this match, Iwobi was taking risky long passes instead of short passes..

And again once Aribo came on SE lost the midfield.
I thought I was the only one that noticed that. He couldn't show his presence one bit

Sorry to say this Yusuf Passes the Ball better than Iwobi

Nobody say iwobi no dey try but due to his Experience in the SE he should be doing better than he is doing abeg

I second that but e get why.....Iwobi playing deeper is a bad idea, vision or not. In high profile games, Iwobi needs to be further upfield as some people have opined.
But at least we have seen that it all comes down to tactics as well as the kind of opponent we are facing.

I didn't even really notice Aribo in the match.

It seems other people on this thread didn't notice him to since they are not talking about him. At least Chukwueze did some things.

Aribo turned to ghost.

Yes na. Since he has refused to respect himself and do the right thing at the right time.

I won't be surprised if after this AFCON, he still hangs around for the World Cup.

Already I knew the reason why he was coming in. Also check his long passes are most times spot on. And to the Omeruo is wasted and should not be in the team. It does reach when strong men should stand and be counted. The boy among them lost his liver. The reason u don't take only boys to competition. We have seen the importance of 'Dede' Ekong and Dede Omeruo and the Seniorman.

In case you think the ad was trolling Nigeria, you are wrong. Just to put proper perspective into it, there has been problems with power supply in South Africa for the last 3 to 4 years such that people have been forced to buy generators. They call it load shedding. The ad was trolling their ruling party ANC.

That said, lets respect Bafana Bafana. They exposed us totally. They took like 65% possession and played good football. We could have lost. Thankfully, we didnt.

Respect Super Eagles for fighting real hard

Leave the possession alone and let's savor this win.

Had that last minute Osimehn's goal stood, no one would remember the possession.

By the way, despite their possession, we had the better chances at goal (Osimehn, Lookman, Moffi) which is the most important.

I see Kelechi Iheanacho as the messiah in this tournament.

I can't wait for him to be fully fit.
Kelechi Iheanacho had one job in the whole tournament. He was saddled with the responsibility of leading the country into the final and he delivered.

On the verge of been knocked out, Kelechi Iheanacho stepped up and converted his kick.

What a moment!

Congratulations to all football loving Nigerians!

Even if una notice for 2nd half of extra time the stupid and myopic southies just Dey delay play just mk the game enter pk

Them too believe that their keeper. E swt me as ekong belittle am by scoring against him twice from pk 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

But moffi looks like he is heavy. Moffi I know is faster than the one I saw today. But please who sent that pass?? That was tailor made. Osimhen will be licking his lips if na him get that kind pass.

Licking which lips? When his misses full everywhere? Abeg make we no go there. The important thing be say we win.

Who else noticed that in the second half of extra time, the south Africans intentionally passed the ball around to delay the game to penalties grin

I said it b4 the day NIgeria gets a good goal keeper,we will start winning games.

Remember it was bad goal keeper that made us miss our last afcon,it was a bad goal keeper that made us miss the world cup

The Southies' overconfidence killed them. Penalty is a game of luck and no matter how well you think you have studied your opponent and how good you think your keeper is, you can still lose a shootout. Look at Egypt and Gabaski.

If SA had come out to play instead of running down the clock in the hopes of dragging the game to penalties, who knows? Luck could have shined on them.

I noticed this too. They also did that in the first half of ET.

That's one of the reasons for the inflated possession.
