The 120 minutes without a goal from both sides tell me that both teams had an equal chance at winning, and the lucky one won. I didn't see any impressive skills there , perhaps my black & white TV was deceiving me . Congratulations on the win though, a win is a win

Simple.

It was an equal game in the 120 but were better at the pens. Meanwhile we'll be meeting again in world cup qualifiers so you'll have another chance to get one up over us. Wouldn't bet on it though!

Forget your story, Nigeria won the match. The support for Nigeria was intense yesterday night. I left to buy some stuff and lo people were in their hundreds at different viewing points praying and supporting their nation. If only the political class will be half that patrotic things would be so better for the nation.

You are right about your analysis. I think the game plan of SA going into penalties wasn't a good one. Especially if the opposition already studied how your keeper goes for saves.

Is even insulting to compare Nigeria with South Africa. Nigeria a country of 250million people is being compared to a country of 60milkion people ...if not for our bad leaders such comparison shouldn't have happened . Even if south africa won yesterday ...stil we are bigger and better than them interms of head to head stats...Nigeria has the best economy in Africa.. has the largest population in Africa...has he best musicians in Africa.. Nigeria should be competing with usa and other danced world not South africa

If it didnt come their mnd, where are you expecting it to come from. Bafana Bafana is a football team with professional sportsmen that dont share the xenophobic mentality, sentiments and childishness of some south africans in SA and those on nairaland. if you noticed, the match was devoid of any fighting between the Nigerian and south african players. it was football. both teams came there to do the business they were there for. it was a good football game and that is all there should be to it. this gesture is one of little things you should learn to appreciate

Honestly speaking, I'm one of such people. I never thought we 🇳🇬 would be this close to the cup.

I've not been happy with the coach bcoz I felt he's not been able to coordinate our boys well in our previous matches to achieve the desired results.
