kkonsults: Most quarry don’t sell 30 tonne. Max, they sell 25 but a lot buyers don’t know. Thats how they scaaam or that’s how they see profit 😁. That’s why it’s good to always go there and find out from quarry sellers to know how they sell and make sure you monitor what you are buying. I can’t imagine loosing like 80k per trip to truck owner/project handler after the truck owner/project handler has collected money for logistics. 1 Like |

mofiyin2009: Talking from hands on experience, For granite, it can only carry 10 tonnes but u need to be vigilant as they might supply less than 10 tonnes for u. But for sharp sand, hmm, it's deep oo because there is no measuring scale at the dredging site so therefore no accuracy in measuring of sharp sand. What they use is the bucket. A bucket of wheeloader is 5tonnes. So this type of truck can also carry 2 buckets. |

twinskenny: Pheeewww, it's really crazy out there 80 bags of cement for 600k na wa ooo. What's is the cause of this cement inflation ? Does cement companies import raw materials for their production? 1 Like |

BIGGIE121: Was that cement receipt, shared here, real? Anybody could have written it to spike a romoir or instigate sellers to hike their prices. It’s good buyers who are here he’ll is share real unit price they paid and their locations |
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by kkonsults: 8:09am On Feb 08 |
VanuatuWycombe:Lowest price you can buy cement now is 6,500 It’s sold between 6,500 to 8,000 in different locations |

VanuatuWycombe:This is false. Don't mislead people here. Quarry sell any number of ton an individual/company wants to buy. Except you're mistaken quarry loaders (Community agents in the quarry plants) for quarry plant owners. |
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by VanuatuWycombe: 12:11pm On Feb 08 |
Tee92: I am not misleading anybody, bro. That’s why I said most quarry. I have gone round and I can confirm this to you. It is you that want to fleece people. Go to KoPEc, go to RCC, or this one at Obaagun in Osogbo, they don’t sell more than 25 tonnes. Mention your own quarry where they sell more than 25 tonnes. Let us benefit from your wealth of knowledge. Even task force won’t allow it to go on the road because it will be spilling over, except if you carry it in the evening or in the night. |

VanuatuWycombe:Maybe it's you that don't know much about Chippings Haulage. Trucks that run Julius Berger Haulage and other construction companies carry 30 tons and above from saturn and other quarry in Akamkpa, and You can't even bid for the Haulage job if you don't carry high tonnage.... For companies that allow high tonnage of 30 tons and above: Saturn and mark sino in Akamkpa. Old China and other quarry plants in Amasiri and Ishiagu. Even those quarries along Benin-Ore Road. |

VanuatuWycombe:I got 25 bags of cement this morning in Lugbe Abuja for 200k. God knows if I had waited till now to start my house project, I wouldn't dare start that project. And to think I bought same cement for 4500 first week of december to finish my block work. It is really terrible and nothing is being done about this horrible situation. Please someone should educate me pls, why on earth should price of cement double in a space of one month? Is this from the original manufacturers or the distributors? |
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by VanuatuWycombe: 1:31pm On Feb 08 |
Tee92: I guess there is misalignment somewhere. I am talking of small unit holders at western quarries. They hardly sell 30 tonnes at a time. That’s what I mean. I don’t say they don’t sell up to 30 tonnes to buyers. But our truckers collect money for 30 tonnes at a time. |
Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by VanuatuWycombe: 1:35pm On Feb 08 |
Balistic4: That’s 8k per bag 😳. It’s cost of diesel and petrol that caused the high price. You know this two products ‘ prices have multiplier effects on everything in Nigeria. |

A third time returning nairalander gave me permission to post a short video of the ready mixed screeding putty (basecoat). A very satisfied client. Rest assured the paint would be applied on a stable surface and weather condition can't affect it while unpainted. What's what doing is what doing well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5b8G7Id-yQ?si=C8xqSGciq2lVzgUt |

michlins: The bolded is a serious case! some clients are so kind to understand your predicament, you can't blame others (client) who feel it doesn't make sense, it's really annoying. The vendors are the greedy ones, a stock he bought for ₦50 per unit after calculating all expenses (Transportation cost etc) he decided to sell the stock to gain profit for ₦150 per unit, you go to this vendor to buy for ₦150 on Monday, the vendor will tell you that if you come the next day, he'd sell the same stock for ₦200 because market price has increased, the same stock he bought for ₦50 ooh. Pure Greed!!! 1 Like |

hamtabfawaz:Not greed. It is called replacement costing strategy. If a seller determines prices based of cost of purchase alone, such seller will be out of business in no time. It means, proceeds from sales will not be adequate to restock same item. We are actually in an uncertain period as a country and everyone is trying to survive. Again, it is not greed. 4 Likes |

Badgers14: In January 2015, before Buhari's election, A man said and I quote "Nigeria is at that stage, where a preceding government would 10x outperform it successors, especially in economical situations of the country" I think it is high time, the government needs to implement price control. The current economic crisis is more than Promax, it is promax⁹ x9 |

Dollar exchange rate has done more harm than Good. Due to the expansion in business, we have now been able to add another arsenal; PDTHR-300 to amour collections, we received the machine this morning and it would be undergoing the necessary branding and configurations to get it prepared for the tasks ahead. We have a total of 4 drill rigs, working across the federation. We're attending to the backlogs, and we would be concluding all old contracts by Sunday. PERSONAL 2 Likes
