No point arguing, let's pray VAR does not affect our game negatively on Sunday. I understand we live in a society where there is no protection for the vulnerable so I see all of the points.
I understand but if we take consideration of all kinds of vulnerabilities football will change totally.

Etebo is actually clubless at the moment according to Transfermarkt. At the age of 28, he can't find a club to sign him since July last year.

Very sad, considering how much promise he showed in our last WC. Somebody that should be leading our midfield now.

The short footballing life-spans of Nigerian footballers needs to be investigated.

Man was dribbling him self at the 2018 world cup …moving to watford was his biggest undoing

I think it's impractical to protect everyone in this case. What will happen is the extreme watering down of the standards of the sport just to accommodate everyone's sensitivities. By doing such, you have sucked out all the joy out of the sport. This is football. In a knockout phase there will always be a winner and a looser. An everybody win scenario is not possible.

In as much as Oliseh had his issues, I think Ekong took it as a challenge after all and today he's a star, for me that is worth celebrating rather than for anyone to be abusing Oliseh now. It's a win-win

yes but fact still remain that Oliseh is the worst coach I hv ever seen in terms of man management

That man no suppose near anything football after retirement. Imagine wetin coach tell em player? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Atleast he would hv been subtle, like mandating ekong and Balogun to work on the physical side of their game

I so much hate him and segun odegbami. They always feel they know it all

the guy is too brash sha, from enyeama to mikel, not too good stories, but we also hear the good things he did as Eagles captain for home-based players. Guess coaching was never his thing

I hope they've taken enough time off to have a very good rest before resuming training especially Osimhen,Iwobi and Onyeka.

I encourage the players and the technical crew to remain humble, talk less and stay focused.

They should try and stay out of social media for now, leave the social media for fans and injured Victor Boniface, until they bring the cup home by God's grace.

Jose Peseiro. If he had been fired after the Zimbabwe game, no one would have shed a tear. He would have earned it too. The results were heartbreaking.

Then, #AFCON2023  started. We didn’t win our first game but no one could rightly knock the coach because the team created several chances. His job had been done even when the job wasn’t completely done on the pitch.

Then, 1-0 against Côte d’Ivoire, 1-0 against GNB, 2-0 against a neighbour we now love beating - Cameroon - and then 1-0 against Angola…a trend was apparent. Peseiro-ball was clear. Score by all means, never concede.

Then came South Africa, a team we’ve always found joy against. Peseiro-ball was facing its fiercest test yet. The first half was so messy I was beginning to see the Peseiro attacks on Twitter again. I couldn’t do that myself because I had already been converted by the man, so, I kept
