Not greed. It is called replacement costing strategy.
If a seller determines prices based of cost of purchase alone, such seller will be out of business in no time. It means, proceeds from sales will not be adequate to restock same item.
We are actually in an uncertain period as a country and everyone is trying to survive.

Even when the current market price is slightly down, most vendors still have an issue, reducing to the initial cost price!

Which one should come first between pop and tiles? This should include kitchen tiles which will also be used for the walls.

On the side, I am seriously considering polystyrene pop instead of normal poo ceilings. I've heard a lot of good things about it. Please, seniors in the house that have used it before or had experience with it should advice me.

@gbaexxy thank you for understanding ethics of privacy, some of these vendors don't understand that. You give them job without permission, next thing they flood social media with clients job. This is a nice and neat job, I hate to see stain's on anything when painting. Do these guys do painting, if yes I may have a job for them. We will talk about it tommorow.

In Accounting, there is what we call replacement cost..If the vendor decided to sell for 50 naira as you've advocated, abeg how is he going to get another one to his shop?

Hmmmm are we importing the raw materials too? And there is no much different between the price of diesel in December and February.. So what's causing this increase and the scaricity of the cement this very month..

this cement issue is all the evidence we need to know that local manufacturing is not the solution. Granted there are economic gains down the line like jobs, local dependency but the product becoming cheaper is definitely not one of them
