malali:You forgot to mention that the farmers will loose their income flow and won't be able to continue farming. The governor should prepare to start sharing palliative soon |

Nigeria is under attack to break up because of rich mineral resources found in the Northern Nigeria Region, the world happiest people are now the most horrible living condition because the west wants gold diamonds and lithium, hunger is now a weapon for boko hharam who obey their masters |

This is clearly a ChatGPT writeup but it doesn't talk about the negative effects of such a rash decision by the Governor. malali: |

iyke2frankeze:Which crops? These crops have different species and cultivars. Yes, the northern lands have fewer weeds but they are not more fertile than southern lands. Let every southern Nigerian do the needful. Half a plot of maize can feed you and your family. Plant maize. Half a plot of cassava can feed you and your family. Plant Cassava. You can plant yams and cocoyams in your garden. If your compound is big, plant vegetables and maize in your house. At least you will have something to eat. Cheers. |

malali:Your write up is proof that one can be intelligent and still be ignorant. 1. If they don’t sell food to outside states, how do they make enough money to recoup expenses and survive this harsh economy? 2. Which is more of an urgent threat to food scarcity in Niger State that Government should be addressing, those who sell their food to other states in order to make more profit, or the terrorists that have taken over vast areas of Niger state, thereby making it impossible for farmers to produce more food ![]() |

malali:The main target are those politicking with the food available. They buy from our farms and take it straight to other countries like Cameroon, Niger etc with intention to create hunger. They have large liquidity to purchase more than 50% of available farm produce. They do same for fuel just to cause scarcity. |

buharibanjo:If these Policy is implemented across the Nation, some States in Southwest (Like Lagos and Ogun) will suffer seriously. They keep using their land to build estates for Elites to buy n occupy and leave little or non for Agricultural purposes without thinking ahead. If the North imbibed this policy, it will not be funny for Southwesterners at all. |

Likewise crude oil from the oil producing States should not be taken out in bulk. |

All this rubbish is just waste of time as we rely heavily on imported goods especially food, Nigeria customs suppose to reduce they levy on food items to %20 and the high prices of food will stop. |

efemena5050:Though i don't want to reply you again but........ before you give ur economy policy, u look broadly about security and welfare first. It's only a foolish person that focuses only on economy without taking cognisant of security and wellbeing. THE MONEY YOU WANT TO GET FROM HUGE PROFIT, WONT YOU BE ALIVE TO SPEND IT? IF THE SO-CALLED FARMERS RAKE HUGE PROFIT, AFTER SELLING IT TO OUTSIDERS, WHAT WOULD THEY BE EATING IN THE STATE? |

vonlogon:You forgot that he didn't tell them to share or destroy them but not to sell them in bulk to outsiders You forgot that after sell everything off to outsiders, the citizens of the state would still be eating to be alive. I guess ur own state governor would find ways how Niger state people will be eaten. In bible thr was a story...5 wise and 5 foolish virgins. You belong to 5 foolish virgins. |

Let River State and other oil producing States ban the bulk sale of crude oil too and close companies that do or confiscate tankers too. |

Fiscus105:And you belong to 4 morrons the governor is now telling people how they must sell their farm products, how much did the governor invest in their farm to give them orders on how they must sell their goods? You and the governor should be flogged 100 lashes for having a dead brain. After telling farmers how many bags of tomatoes they must sell. Who would be next? Barbers, chemists?, mechanics? Spare parts dealers? Maybe you? How about the governor gives you order on how many goods you must sell in your shop. Mumu! |

malali:Not going to quote the whole thing. I think his intention is good but the strategy is not a well thought out one ... seems to be a knee-jerk reaction. In all you recommended ... sounds nice ... but what consideration have been given to the farmers? If I'm a farmer.... have a large scale tomato farm mainly to supply the bulk market ... that's where I earn 90% of income to maintain my family... what will happen to me under this decree? .... farm produce is mainly perishables what is to happen to my produce? ... am I to take it all to the local market? ... if yes ... how am I taking it there? ... bulk buyers come with their trucks to transport my produce... I don't have a truck ... neither do most farmers. What is going to happen to our produce? Is the governor going to purchase it all? If it is grain that can be stored.... the farmer is not allowed to sell in bulk .... so he has it all piled up at home .... would he then be charged for hoarding? These are some reasons why I said it is not a well thought out decision and this can lead to farmers abandoning their fields and making matters worse. |

So governor is dictating to farmers on how many quantity of their products they must sell. This so called governor should be flogged on his bare bottom 200 lashes.. And if the farmer are caught selling in bulk (to recover their thousands they invested in the farm) their goods should be seized and shared for free to lazy people who have refused to farm. After their products have being shares for free where would the next food come from? Co's the farmers would have no money to buy fertilizers or more food to plant. The farmers are seling in bulk to get money to pay for school fees for their children, cloth their kids, pay for other things, some of them may have borrowed money to invest in their farms. Useless cone head governor! Maybe he should tell barbers how many haircuts they must cut, or taxi drivers how many day they should drive or tell other businesses how they must sell their goods. How much did this morronic governor invested in people's farm? To tell them how they must sell their food? |
