I would really love to see Samuel Omorodion in the Super Eagles. That kid is just 19 and he has 9 goals for Alaves on loan from Athletico Madrid. Spain don’t really have strikers so I know it will be very difficult to convince him.

Flamingos thrash Central African Republic once again 6-0. Another fine performance.

Nigeria’s Flamingos zoomed into the final round of the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup following a comprehensive 6-0 win against Central African Republic in Abuja on Friday.

The Flamingos won the contest 12-0 on aggregate.

Harmony Chidi bagged a hat-trick in the game, with Ramota Kareem (brace) and Tessy Ojiyowi also on target.

Bankole Olowookere’s side are still waiting their final round opponent.

Three teams will represent Africa at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup which will be hosted by Dominican Republic.

Ahmed Musa on not playing regularly for the national team: "I am a patient man, I have been playing a lot for my teammates, and if my teammates are now playing for me to win, there's no problem with that."

Jose Peseiro on the importance of Ahmed Musa to the national team: "Ahmed for us is much more than a player. He has helped us so much. He has advised me, suggests, informed me a lot about AFCON...I ask him a lot about many things, he knows better than me on some things, he is the captain, and he knows a lot about the players.

“I want to win that cup tomorrow so Ahmed Musa can lift it. He is a very very special player.”

We have our own Kante in Yusuf. He just lacks experience. Make the ball calm down small.

He has been in Europe since 2018 playing football ⚽ after leaving Kano, he is supposedly 23.

What more experience does he need please.

Is the the best and or most outstanding midfield player in Royal Antwerp ❓

He is not even as good as Etebo who I felt in the last world cup was excellent. Not sure what's happening with Etebo and why he is forgotten.⁉️

Zaidu, the brainless aboki no good at all. Satisfied?

Don't concede defeat so quickly please.

Please contend with me substantively with an objective appraisal of his attributes.

Probably over three seasons ago 😮 l says I did not rate him. I said then he would not get into Fulham who were in the Championship at that time.

Many of you came with rancour and vitriolic rhetoric to disagree. They said he was better than Antonee Robinson Fulham currentl and long standing LB.

Noni scored against Luton and Crystal Palace while Chukwueze scored against Borrusia Dortmund and Newcastle.

Pls stop shifting goalpost!

No goal 🥅 post is shifting you are making comparison to justify your assertion that Chukwueze is Outstanding in AC Milan. Dude has played 14 games no goal in Seria A.

So because he scored against Newcastle and B.Dortmund in Champion's league he is better.

That being the vase we should draft all the players of Nigerian origin playing at then league one , Sheffield Wednesday into the SE because they beat Newcastle united in the FA cup. There were 5 Nigerian origin players that day in the line up.

Makgopa worried Ekong? Which match did you watch?

Outpaced once AND the only time there was a foot race is now most of the game?

What match did you watch?
You're being too emotional, I didn't say Ekong is a bad player I'm telling you that particular game was his worst.
Like you have no idea Magokpa had a fantastic game? If a No9 is having such a game who do you think he's walking?

U are a very biased fellow

So tell me or rather post etebo stats for Stoke and let me see please.

If it was Nwakali u will know where he is, all of a sudden u no longer know where etebo is

A 23 years old played and hold his own in the champions league against Barcelona and so far in this afcon despite been called in as a replacement he has not done badly.

In 1982, Libya hosted the tournament and lost in the final to Ghana. Same Ghana defeated Tunisia, the host country in the final of 1965 edition
Ghana did not have money to go for the competition. Ghadaffi sponsored them. They ended up beating Libya 😂😂

Nope it was from Yusuf, but we move. Yusuf good, people at the viewing centre just dey cÜrs€ the guy that day, not knowing that the game changed immediately he entered, make he just dey calm down - baby calm down (in Arabian commentator's voice 😹)

He was supposed to be fresh and fully concentrated on the game at hand .

For me he huffs and he puffs but he can never blow the house 🏡 down.

He runs around lots of energy for a limited period he gases in it quickly. But zero physicality,no outstanding skill and or technicality and not great football ⚽ intelligence.

He came on and he made things worse.

grin I was expecting you'd keep pulling things out of thin air.

Makgopa had a decent match. But it is not for nothing I came here to yab him as "No-Evidence Makgopa" after the match. He had one of the lowest ratings for his team.

Maybe you're confusing the players because most are baldies.

The only shot he had all game was that turn and shoot.

You've spoken my full mind D'Law.

Zaidu for all his frailties is full of boundless energy who will always keep the opposition wingers and fullbacks occupied. Aina is a better crosser of the ball no doubt but he doesn't get into goal scoring positions the way Sanusi. Like you rightly said if not for wastefulness and lack of composure Zaidu would have at least been on two goals.

My main concern for Sunday is the midfield. I don't want a situation where we will be soaking up pressure for large sections of the game. Senegal sat back and were punished we shouldn't think how we approached them in the group stage will work out. I think if we take the game to them they'll be caught off guard a little cause I'm sure they will be expecting 'hezbollah' football from us.

Do we risk playing a midfield trident of Iwobi Onyeka and Alhassan with Iwobi at the tip? Or run the risk of serving them the usual menu cos all na risk at this stage

Sir,am not a coach but Sanusi will not make my team, not hating but my personal conviction. As it is nothing stopped him from starting against Ivory Coast cuz Peseiro believe so much in him but as a fan am just expressing my opinion, possibly I maybe wrong.

I agree with you but not emotively but highly objectively.

It was Ekong who didn't look comfortable in that game. Let's not kid ourselves, that was Ekong's worst match in this tournament. That Bafana numb 9, Evidence Makgopa worried Ekong so much in that game. He practically took Ekong on a dog walk almost all game.
That yellow card Ekong got which we all applauded was infact a show of weakness as he was outpaced most of the game. I want to believe it was the tigh injury he's carrying but if he's not fully fit, please and please, Omeruo should start tomorrow.
This is a totally incorrect assessment of the game. Ekong was as usual the pillar in that defense making crucial blocks, keeping shape, joining the attack on several occasions more than in other matches. And this incidence he got carded was not a show of weakness. It was wisdom.
