In 2022, we crashed out in Round of 16, I came here and said the team failed, make we no blame anybody.

Yet, the Nigerian mob used the opportunity to pour so much bile on Okoye, man had to recuse himself from this AFCON. Till today, that boy cannot post without one degenerate posting rubbish in his comments.

Today again, we have lost, I have come and said, "It's team failure, no need to single out any player", yet, once again, a mob fights for their rights to a scapegoat.

It is the team that failed. Not Iwobi, not Osimhen, not Aina, not Chukwueze, not Zaidu. The team failed. Nobody hold their side 100%, so, to single out one person in a team loss is wickedness.

The entire team was poor. Let us be just in criticism and not constantly single out one person for hate. If na only one person fail, we for face am, but this one was team failure.
Truth.

Show me your criticism of others today. You are deliberately being disingenuous. No one says not to criticize Iwobi. But you have singled him out to dunk on. Where's your criticism of Aina whose lapses led to the two goals?

Imagine foisting leadership on somebody that just wants to play ball.
I don't understand the emphasis on senior impacts on a player playing a role he's not familiar with. So him seniority go help am if he's made to play as a defender abi?

you guys are funny when this match was on, I was mentioning Aina and Bassey's errors (you can go back if you care, I was even asking whether it was due to fatigue), no one came for me, it's when I started mentioning Iwobi that some of you jumped out and this is a confirmation of the trend I have seen here for a very long time where those who mention Iwobi's errors are always been bashed as if Iwobi is touch not my anointed. This is very unfair mhen. You guys are making it as if Iwobi is the only one singled out, have zaidu not been bashed here, even Oshimen whom some of us were supporting against those bashing him, Simon has been bashed, chukwueze has been bashed, most of the players have been heavily criticized here but once Iwobi is mentioned then we begin to accuse people of being unfair and using the tactics of the coach as an excuse for his errors which we don't use for others.

Some don Dey name trash some players as if any of them believed that this team will ever make it to the final of the afcon even before our first game with EG

Complain complain complain with enough sprinkle of wailing

To me the team surpassed my expectations and even if the haram football the team displayed caused us to lose to CIV no wahala. Last afcon super eagles were rated the best team in the group stage dem jabo for 2nd round

Many don Dey say had it been nwakali and others played we would hv won this final even the Asian final join as if the same nwakali no play for the same afcon Abi no be him dem sub comot for half time in his club’s game on Saturday?

You lot should learn to be appreciative for once
Many here used to cry Alhassan, Alhassan (note I have nothing against him). Dem bring am oo. He played oo. It was God that saved him. If not had we lost to SA, he would have been crucified.

many of them fail to put into consideration that this is the first time iwobi is been deployed as a DLPM

A role that he isn’t familiar with coupled with the pressure and demands required in a big tournament like the afcon

All their eyes were just on the guy to put a foot wrong so they will slaughter him. The games he played very well none of them commended him but once he has a bad game they all crawl out gun blazing 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Even many paint it like he is in the super eagles till date because of his influential uncle jay jay

And the same influence hv kept him in the epl over 7 seasons since he graduated from Arsenal’s youth team

Three players have suffered more criticism than others throughout the tournament - Iwobi, Zaidu and Osimhen. Go and listen to those Ghana analyst you once tried to dismiss and you'd see how they point out iwobi’s defects and one can hardly argue against them.

Our own na to blame from morning till night. Ours is just pure attack.

In the game our two worst players were aina and zaidu but few here turned all the blame to Alex

Even samu was a passenger in the first half but no one hv the guts to say that here

But if iwobi misplaces one pass or a tackle in the next few seconds it will be updated here

Cos today the spotlight is unjustifiably on him when the whole team was poor. I see now that the reason why we had so much fouls was because the entire team was not sure-footed.

You dunk on Iwobi so tay you said he should be excused from the team.

If iwobi haven’t made any impact in the super eagles since he made his debut under oliseh at least his goals against Cameroon in the second round that took the team to the quarter finals of 2019 afcon and the winner against Zambia at uyo that qualified us for 2018 World Cup is there for all to see

He also boast of over 70 caps in the super eagles, I wonder how a bad player will be important to a team close to a decade where every coach that takes over the team wants him

Anyway, as long as that cursed Mandate Thief does not see any glory to latch on to, I am fine.

If we won, you will hear how the drug dealer's administration won AFCON trophy. This loss is very good, let the theme of hopelessness under a useless administration continue.

As long as the wicked continue to preside over this nation, we no go get joy. Our last AFCON trophy was under GEJ, our last football trophy was in 2015, just when they handed over to the first plague.

Since then, we just dey chop L for football. Aligns with the state of the nation

I have learned my major lesson bruv from this Afcon. I will never follow anyone bash any Eagles player again even if they are not doing well. We can always make excuses for their poor performance. All na perspective. Lesson learned

Next Afcon is just next year!

Nice, we'd still have a majority of the guys in the team

That’s what I’m saying. That is the beauty of AFCON being biennial. You can have a 3-4 tournaments in an 8 yr cycle. If you keep a competitive team, you can get a run at 2-3 finals/SFs

Cameroon - 2000, 2002 winners
Egypt - 2006, 2008, 2010 winners
CIV - 2012 finalist, 2015 winners
Senegal - 2019 finalist, 2021 winners

We have the attackers, GK, defenders (but will want to add one more CB), wingers and full backs. It’s just the midfield we need to improve

Thank God say no be you be coach or NFF chairman.

We get World Cup qualifiers in a few months, if you like, scatter the entire team for untested players. You people will lose woefully again.

Talking like a typical spineless and stagnant Nigerian, that's why you lots keep recycling redundant leaders to destroy your potential. If you're so scared of change (however much needed), and taking risk...then how can you succeed? If the Ivorians were content sticking to the status quo, then they wouldn't have changed their coach mid-tournament and ultimately won the AFCON trophy. I insist that certain players in this team have gotten too comfortable and are simply average (albeit overhyped)...players like Iwobi, Chukwueze, Zaidu, Moses Simon etc are not good enough and should be phased out.

The team is overdue for a new phase of players and we HAVE THEM, just give them a chance!

Even from afar one can easily notice that jay jay distances himself from his nephew iwobi when it comes to Nigerian football

Even at first he wasn’t the one that recommended Alex to the handlers of the the then under 23 team when he was first invited to train with the team prior to his debut in the super eagles under oliseh. Iwobi got noticed when he started training with Arsenal’s first team in preparation for his graduation to the first team

Since then the guy hv fought hard to be counted and even grew to emerge as one of the first names when it comes to compilation of names by super eagles handlers to execute a game

If jay jay hv been influential to iwobi’s continuous inclusion to the national team why didn’t he do it earlier for him to be in one of the previous u17 teams when Alex wasn’t even rated much in arsenal and was at the verge of been released from the club?

After his debut and official match for the super eagles against Egypt in Cairo Alex returned to london and was too hot to handle in his debut season

Abeg Mk una allow the guy breath
