Imagine, north that is mostly wasteland, Kano is actually a city built on waste dump, most of their inner streets are untarred and dirty, only state capitals have anything to offer, some of their other towns are just arid lands with far flung buildings and zero infrastructure, Damaturu capital of Yobe is just a road with few side streets and scanty infrastructure, is it the north that I have been to most part of it, imagine oyo state with Ibadan the largest city in west Africa is not there, with so many infrastructure. Anyone who believes this trash is truly gullible.

Ibadan no infrastructure you can't survive their if you are not yoruba
Just brown roofs everywhere

I believe this list is a joke. I just returned from Akwa Ibom and I can tell you for free that the power supply in Uyo reflects the backwardness in Nigeria. Internet was just fairly okay. Transport? Is that even a yardstick? I saw red Keke napeps all over the place and for a single bus to load in a park you'll spend 3 hours. Logistics ke. Omo.
And then Kebbi, most northern states do not have light except for the cities. I've lived in Kano and Kaduna, there biggest cities. This list is a joke. grin

What you just mentioned are not infrastructure.

Kindly educate yourself
Actually you're the one wrong. Infrastructure is physical development. Good road, high rise buildings, public transport system, power supply, water, bridges.

High rise building is not infrastructure. It's not hard to figure out

😂 ignoramus. Majority of the food in Nigeria comes from the North. Maybe you should ask how they get water to feed their crops. Many be na palm oil they use to water their crops.

Keep saying rubbish with confidence. Many of think North = Desert land.

Lol! So anywhere that has water automatically means they will provide food ba....lol. I leave you to wallow in your buffoonery

Ibadan doesn't really have infrastructure, but it isn't a bad place to stay sha. Compared to let say ikeja only few places in Ibadan comes close. But it is sha better than other western state except maybe Ogun. I have not been to any state in the east so I can't say.

You are lying, imagine comparing Ibadan to ikeja, ikeja is like one over fifty of the size of ibadan, the former capital of western Nigeria, you can walk round the entire ikeja in a few hours but you can travel by vehicle from morning till night and you have not covered the entire ibadan, I don't need to talk about the infrastructure, travel and see.
Ogun state has at least ten big cities under it likewise other western states, ancient cities with fully developed infrastructure, ,is it Ilorin, oshogbo, ishagamu, Ogbomosho, Oyo town, Ile ife, Akure etc name it, they are fully developed with infrastructure, a state with only the capital developed shouldn't be on that list, period

😂 This one is incoherent. Baboon!

They know nothing but think they know something. The food you eat majorly comes from the north. Where do they get water to feed their crops? If you can't answer, don't bother to reply.

Oponu!

travel from morning till night and not cover Ibadan, are u joking? I schooled at Ogun state, my mom is from imeko a village in Ogun state, so u can't tell me what I don't know about the state. I have spent the last one year in Ibadan, I am currently in ekiti state and Ibadan although is bigger than Lagos by far, only few places there can drag with the development u see in Lagos. Also u dont need the entire day to go round Ibadan. My sister stays at kuola and there was a day we went to went almost round the state.

have u been to Lagos before? Imagine comparing Akure, Ogbomosho, Oyo town and the big cities in Ogun state to Lagos. I mentioned ikeja just to set a standard for development. Which other town in Oyo is as developed as Ibadan?

I think i believe in this data, only businessmen will understand this, it is less expensive to produce in Bauchi than in Ogun or Lagos save for the cost of transporting raw material from Lagos to Bauchi.

Power supply
Less tax
Cheap labour
Less internal transport cost.

These and more you will enjoy while producing in a state like Bauchi as compared to Lagos.

How does that add to the economy?
That's why with all the stats they hardly generate revenue or contribute to the nation, what is now the essence of topping the chat of ease of doing business?
What percentage of those places are actually developed? Knowing how big the North is, which many regions or villages non-motorable or accessible by any means except camel and bikes. I have been to over 24 states of Nigeria since 2001 till 2013 before I traveled out.

Even Niger State as calm as it is, is just like a random village is some places in the south aside less population that it has an less vehicle plying the roads.
What are the industries available there?
Aside roads without potholes, stable electricity without electrical appliances that uses the power?
Unless the stat focuses on small to medium scale and not upper end, it is completely false.
