You earn and save in dollars. Had it been you waited, fewer/lesser dollar would have purchased same.

I have never worked in my life, so I'll urge you to that part.

Lemme even add more. I used to buy a carton of Indomie Superpack for 7k under Buhari and that was $14.6. Today, that same $14.6 will get me 2 cartons under Tinubu.

This is to say, subsidy was a scam. Politicians were stealing billions with it. I'm not a Tinubu's supporter, but after lots of research, I know he's way way way better than Buhari.

The things he's doing now were the things Jonathan wanted to do in the past, but they didn't allow him.

If Jonathan had succeeded, the suffering wouldn't be this bad and we would've outgrown this stage of life and Naira would've been at most, 300/$.

Oga mathematician business mumu grin, It's like you don't understand what inflation is. You were busy playing with toy at SS2. Naira has lost it's value, meaning we spend more than before.
This one is already cussing. You've not seen anything yet. You'll continue to suffer sha. cheesy

When your mates were making Dollars, saving Dollars, investing and reinvesting, you were busy chasing women, drinking, doing drugs, and squandering your Naira trying to impress a hoë. Now you can wail and I won't be bothered. cheesy

Even though I'm not a Tinubu's supporter, I know he will rule for 8 years and Naira may hit 3-5k per Dollar.

If you steal, defraud, kidnap, or do other evils to make money and we catch you, you're gone. Jungle justice. Better find a way and commit sui cide now that the hunger is still starting. cheesy

You've never worked in your life? Hmmm 🤔
Take a typical monthly salary and create your scenario. That would be a good example. ..no excuses.

Lemme make it easier for you using your "indomie" example. If you were earning #7k daily under Buhari, you need to earn #24k daily under Tinubu to be at par.
Tell me, that teacher whose salary was #70k under Buhari, is he earning #240k now under Tinubu?

You should not be doing this comparison with dollar. It should be in naira as 98% of Nigerians get paid in naira. Like salary this is what minimum wage can buy in 2020 vs what it can buy in 2024,that's the best way.

While I also earn in dollars too, I feel it is best to judge by the majority.

Info for crypto lovers. Chatted with a friend in Spain and he's still hammering on a coin called WLD. It's owned by Sam Altman, one of the brains behind ChatGPT (OpenAI).

In Spain, you can get this coin by scanning your eyes and brining in referral. They have WLD machines just like ATMs.

He has made lost of money from it. In the chat below, you'll see his new earning. He didn't buy the WLD coin—he got them by scanning his eyes.

Unfortunately for us in Africa, we're currently not eligible, but the good news is, you can trade the coin and make lots of money. Do your research and thank me later. I longed it from 4.5 and left at 7, then started shorting at 7.9 on OKX and Binance.

Religious people in Nigeria will call it 666 coin because it involves scanning the eye with a machine. If you're one of these people, it's better to avoid it.

Oh, it moved to 1700. That's true, but those people will make a call and increase the dispenser to 150k. These sellers are also monitoring the black market. When Naira crashes, they increase immediately, but when it gains, they hardly reduce.

It will hit 2k+ in 2024. It's really sad for people who make their money mainly in Naira. cry

I'm not cheerful about it. Things are cheaper now (but sound bigger in price). The people are poorer to be able to afford those cheap things. That's just the situation on ground. We just want the govement to increase minimum wage/everyone's salary by 200% and the country should focus on production, instead of too much importation.

"Things are cheaper" is a subjective perspective on the seemingly endless currency exchange rate crises on ground.

I absolutely concur with you on the highlighted. That is the goal to strike a balance amidst the current economic decline and hyper-inflation.

You are part of the problem we have in this country. It's people like you that dollarized this economy. How many people earn in dollars. Whatever calculation or accounting you do should be in naira, that's our currency, not dollars. How is 133,000 cheaper/lesser than 52,000 in NAIRA?. Your calculation is trash.

The three basic needs of man are food, shelter and clothing

Food and Shelter in Nigeria are tied to dollar rate

I know a civil engineer who as far back as 1993, has been charging his clients in Nigeria to build houses based on dollar rate or equivalent in naira.

So, don't blame ilegendd.

Calm down. cheesy

When I was wasting hours online without money, you people called me broke and abused me day and night, so I decided to make make money (in Dollar). Now the table has turned. I won't call anyone broke, but it is what it is.

Who's crying now and sleeping at night without light and AC? cheesy

By the way, I take money from foreigners legally and bring it to Nigeria. So, I'm helping the economy. I'm not among those who convert our Naira to Dollar and buy things on AliExpress or Amazon. I use Dollar gotten from foreigners directly. And even convert some to Naira.

In summary, give me my flowers for contributing to the economy. What is your contribution to the economy?

Most of you in Nigeria only consume (you don't even consume local products—you want expensive foreign products). You're the reason for all these hardship.

I'm not facing any hardship with you people. Children of God don't suffer. cheesy

Boss, how can I get that book (The Kats Cried — if I'm not mistaken) you once wrote on keyword research? Is it still relevant to today's algorithm? What about "Not born a crime but a stubborn dreamer"? I've only seen it on a Korean website, it's not on Amazon. I hope to get it one day too.

What you said can only be true if you're earning in dollars. But most Nigerians don't, and it's not even theoretically possible that everyone would earn in dollars. This means things are maybe less expensive for a few who earn in dollars, but the average Nigerian is going through hell.
