ToshoTosin: So after spending time in the UK you still write this type of tautological grammar The proper word is Lend, when you're giving out you're Lending hence the proper grammar should be " Lent them almost 10K..." 2 Likes |

kwakudtraveller:Ah bos, thank you for saying this, driving was a bit challenging o, I won't even lie, due to curvy mountains and going round it. maybe because we went at peak of shorter day longer night. but you cant go 1 mile on some certain roads without bends. but there was enough barricade and nets sef for falling rocks. 1 Like |

SavageResponse: So, after coming here, wanting to diss someone, you ended up making mockery of yourself. 1. You certainly have zero 0️⃣ understanding of what tautology is, or what it means to say something is tautological. Granted, OP used the word ‘Borrow’ instead of ‘Lent’. Is that tautology? Hell NO! You certainly don’t know what ‘tautological grammar’ means. Sorry sir/maam. 25 Likes

I too was wondering that; maybe I forgot the meaning of tautology. People who live in glass house should not throw stones. ReesheesuKnack: 9 Likes |

Lexusgs430: I have been reasoning this lately. All the ones I have seen in Curry’s were too expensive for me. Please do you have any recommendations? Something cheap but which does the job. |

Please, does anyone have any dashcam recommendations please? Ideally, I would like something easy-to-install and cheap, please. I know ‘cheap’ is relative but if people have any recommendations I will appreciate. |

ReesheesuKnack: Thanks ó. I had hoped everyone would just ignore the fellow, tbh. Judging from this being their first time on the thread, my suspicion is that the person has a list of common errors they search regularly to give their nonsense grammar lessons. Joblessness at its peak. 4 Likes |

I actually got confused regarding the tautology statement.. wrong use of term.. Didn't even add any contribution or advice to the OP's problem the "correcter" became the "corrected" Hunter became the hunted justwise: 1 Like |

missjekyll: I see your point and see the cliché as a guide which I follow on most occasions. However, life has taught me there's exception to every rule. These days, on the occasions I lend, it's a sum I know would not be an undue burden on the recipient and one I know I could potentially forgo if push comes to shove. Moreso, I know who I lend to. All this has meant I've been able to help a greater number of people I'd otherwise have turned down. |

SavageResponse: Someone asked for advice about something that has given her and her family heartache but instead of rendering advice, you stated marking English lang. Pele oo Mr. Brighter grammar. So after you have spent some time in the UK you haven't seen that most immigrants don't even understand English? The Europeans or Asians speak their language mostly and still, they rate them pass you. Africans love yourself so that the world can love you. If I were you I would apologise. This is not an IELTS class. 8 Likes |
