The Northerners are trying to frustrate Tinubu's government. They are majorly in control of all the things that are causing hardship in the country:

1: Dollar: More than 90% of the people that are into black market exchange are northerners.
2: Insecurity: More than 60% of the insecurity in Nigeria is being carried out by northerners
3: Food scarcity: More than 80% of the food in Nigeria is produced by the northerners.

Its people like you who have zero Economic sense that are a threat to Nigeria. The northern people are simply businessmen and women. Your Economic polices are weak, If we produce right now as our money is weak, we will be exporting. But the power to manufacture is non-existent.

This is crazy

If you needed 12 million naira to japa in January and you dey wait for tickets and other stuff to clear...

This is February now and you go need 19 million naira to achieve the same objective

God forbid BAT thing.

Very scary, my friend tried booking flight ticket to Canada and they told her it's more than 4million naira 2weeks ago I wonder what the price will be today.

The mofos just created scarcity. Watch dollar rise to 3k before the end of the month. It is now going to be a double black market.

some people said karma is not real, but see karma at play. He teamed with Buhari to bring in the same Buhari, after threatening the same Nigerians that blood will flow if they loose. They prevented Goodluck from doing the needful when the time was right, This mofo is here talking about good heart.

It is about 1800/$.
Nairaland should stop pushing these threads to FP. It is becoming scary and I am surprised some people are laughing over it. My parents house was burgled for the first time in 20>yrs.

Do people know the security implications of where we are headed?

The more they push people into poverty the more the crime rate increases, this is becoming scary by the day. The other day dangote truck was looted by citizens.

The level of dumb leadership in Nigeria is the major problem we face when tackling issues in this country. Have they not been bureau de change all this while in Nigeria? What is BDC doing differently now ?

By early March, thousands will collapse on the streets as a result of hunger. Many will die.

There will be massive looting of government warehouses and gradual return to the state of nature in North and SW.

Bandits will stop charging in Naira and charge in US dollars and food.

By April, nizoorians will eat grass and ministry of health will sensitize them on healthy grass options, there will be famine refugee camps and outbreak of kwashiorkor in North and SW worse than the civil war times.

Communities will mobilize billionaires to share palliatives to household in Biafra land.

MNK cursed the zoo. The plague is just starting unless they give us Biafra. I am not bluffing
And the East will be immune from all this how?

Blame blame blame and blame.

Zero accountability that's why we are here, the moment we learn how to be accountable the nation will get better.

Boris could go further he handed to May and she did same to sunak, why can't our leaders do same if they know they are incompetent? Rather they start shifting blames just as you are doing.

Lol

Economists from hell! The bolded part got me. What kind of transaction you cannot do with banks that only BDC can do? Can you read what the so-called lecturers demanding high pay are saying? grin Mehn!

I believe this lecturer is talking about money laundering. Tell me one BDC that has a bigger capital base than the smallest microfinance banks we have in Nigeria that I need BDC where banks are not capable of handling. Na wa ooo!

Can you see why Nigeria will not get out of this easily? These are the set that will wage war oooo.

Please, if you know the kind of transaction that is justified here, let me know. Cos I am really curious to know what he is talking about.
I think he's talking from the angle of the reality of access to dollars and not what you're thinking.
Getting forex from banks is hard. You and I know that.

Floating of the naira is a disaster, when Nigerians are hoarding and we are still dependent on dollars for all our imports...ill timed. You can only float naira when you don't depend solely on dollars for imports and produce enough for your local market. This floating is a disaster.

This is one of the major drivers of the current inflation in Nigeria as Nigeria imports almost everything it consumes. The higher the exchange rate the higher the prices of items and vice versa

It's getting realer than real.. its soo sad most people this generation won't experience a blissful nigeria, at least our parents gave us a detailed story of how they got job offers right from secondary school and that was if you didn't have an opportunity to further your education in the university. Seriously, consider leaving nigeria! Just leave it for them, for your kids to know they have a parent to tell them the story cos nigeria will not end us. People are looking older than their ages now!! Fact

The way Nigeria economy is going is really very scary.

Even though I never like Tinubu because of his corruption tendencies for the fear of him capturing the wealth of Nigeria the way he did with Lagos wealth.

I never for once thought of him not doing well with the economy, my thinking was that he will outperform Buhari by far, I could have even bet with my money that he will do far better than Buhari, but what am seeing now is totally shameful and unacceptable from him.

He has really mess up with the economy, a house the someone built for 10million by this time last year, you now need nothing less than 20million to build that same house now. My only consolation is that I never keep any money in the bank, the little that I had then, I invested it and am happy I took that decision.

Still wondering how people that earn less than 200k with children are surviving.
