I just secure an acre of farmland in Ifo, Ogun state. The land has been cleared/weeded and I intend to plant maize followed by Habanero Pepper when the maize is winding down.

I need advice on whether it it's okay to start the planting of maize now as it has already rained once this year or wait for more rain.

You can try Lagon, it's a good pre emergency herbicide for maize and cassava, when applied properly, you can be assured of up to 8weeks of weed control
