nlfpmod:It's better the government looks inward. Develop our capacity and fight corruption. By so doing,we shall come out of the doldrums. In the meantime, let's fix our internal problems. And this will restore investors confidence in our country. How do you expect foreign investments when there is insurgency, banditry, unaddressed religious and ethnic genocide and jumbo jet corruption? Let's fix our problems with sincerity first before we attract foreign investments. 1 Like |

ElSudani: I agree it's a criminal offence. And there should be grave consequences. But whistle blowing is a good thing to have to be able to check mate the excesses of government. Any government, not just ours. I'm almost certain that the people engaging in these whistleblowing are not taking operational security measures to protect themselves (such as scrubbing exif information from pictures). About time local media houses start deploying solutions like SecureDrop to aid more anonymous whistle blowing. 2 Likes |

airsaylongcome: This is not what is called whistle blowing. Whistle blowing is when you have knowledge about a crime or a breach of ethics and stuff like that and you report it. What is going on here is a dangerous leaking of government documents. What if they are selling information to the highest bidder? What if sensitive information is sold to terrorists? 2 Likes |

LordIsaac: Do you remember how these leaks started under the GEJ administration? Do you remember how APC rode on those same leaks? And even possibly encouraged it covertly? Well the chicken has now come home to roost. As long as the can of worms has been opened, the worms will always come out. The party in power should enjoy the beast they created. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

ElSudani: Breach of ethics. Would you say it is ethical for your government to tell you blatant lies? Would it be a breach of ethics if, to correct those lies, a knowledgeable insider realeses/leaks information about the truth? |
